  1. Felix mate, I know you well enought to say you will make a top Dad! As for liberalism, the kids will eventualy teach you to dump those inclinations!
  2. How can you be so sharp after a load of Stella Mark? Im having trouble reading, let alone doing a toe tap like that!
  3. Yep maybe,so where does that go then? Just quote newton.. Newton's Three Laws of Motion
  4. Oh yeh,& nick him in the cuts, job done....my dyslexia playing up again.
  5. I do believe that the justice system is both cumbersome , inacurate & very costly...if a situation of this ilk gets sorted in a rough arsed way it should just be the way of things,to the extent that it does not involve anything more that one cop, or person of authority to sign it off as job done. The fair jumper is going to cost loads of money in the legal system, someone ( us ) will have to pay for that, when it could be money better spent on something else. It used to be like that & we all lived through it,how much cotton wool before we all lose the thread...
  6. The lad was asking for it,he got treated gently but firmly & now his dad wants some damages for it,another free loader. In my day if I did wrong & got foul mouthed about it,my dad on finding out would have clipped my ear too, never did me any harm, and I have respect for all but those who prove first they dont deserve it. I dont see the size of the guy helping him off to be an issue, were all made different,& he had a measured response to the situation,.
  7. Another thing, the 125 is,I believe the same bearing setup as the 150,my 125 has done 3 years of heavy chipping with no bearing probs,it is my feeling the bearings are over engineered for the 125,thats a good thing..
  8. Good little saw,but only good for realy light stuff the 270,what do you need it for,& if you are around Essex & stuffed for getting one I can borrow you mine.
  9. I let mine rot down, couple of landscape companies round me love it,so I deliver by the truck load for a saturday morning shilling or two. Great to see you enjoying your work Littletree:thumbup1:
  10. We all know this stuff happens, even with the best operater, only takes an overgrown area of grass, and maybe a molehill,it happens,it has,and it should be sorted without contest beyond the unreasonable.
  11. I am new to this thread realy, but sod it ,the window got broke,so the perp should pay for it,simples,& if they dont want to you either persue it or turn the other cheek. The man who done the deed is (I would imagine)employed by the relevent council, strimming has its potential to do damage, they would have third party cover,at least,so make them use it!
  12. About right, they broke it (established), they have to fix it,up to you to persue it,if you want to enough.
  13. I hear you mate, mostly I am contracting out with the truck chipper & me,I was glad of a climb today, I dont like taking big tops out on my own, rather go up & nip the tip out,and the drop zone was a bit tight. Man I did the take down for fell a week ago & shattered a vertebra & compound fracture of the wrist,it was very much self inflicted!
  14. Going out on the weekend to do quotations on a 30 mile radius now the light has drawn in,mind you I treated myself to a realy good scooter to get it all done in good time.
  15. OOps the vid has not loaded, try again.. http://www.flickr.com/photos/63506494@N04/6438470757/
  16. Had to get this one down, well it will give the oaks a chance, but a shame realy... Fed up with the sticky sap by the time I got to this point, but a nice relaxed job, total of six hours,so just a pole pic & the vid of the top takes time as I like to de-nib before I go for the drop,Hum 'Hey Jude' whilst watching the vid(if you have the spare time),I was having a very bad time in me nut & it might help me out...Felix the whopper understands.. The cause of my current turmoil can be heard at the start of the vid! change jude by geoff321, on Flickr
  17. Superb comment, nearly spilt me sherry!
  18. Treebloke, that just about sums them up.
  19. Not read the whole thread yet,but I have had 5 or six landies over the years,& will not be working any other truck, not because the others are a lesser vehicle, but the landy does it with consumate ease & style,is easy to fix & reasonable on parts costs. Show me another 3.5 ton tip truck with 4wd that can compete,& still look good after its been bashed about a bit with people climbing all over it & having lunch on the bonnet! post script; some folk just are plain too big for bonnet brunch admittedly..
  20. Congrats & a big well done to the lass.

    a role model

Made me cringe,I'm all for old school but too many pointless faults.
  22. I love mine,its a 3.6 m job,fantastic bit of kit for the jobs you mention,just so stable.
  23. Admire your honesty posting that,I fear your reputation may get tarnished over this before too long...

    Is this wrong?

I think its fine,as long as the dogs happy & you dont tell your boy until after he has eaten it,dont want to put him off his grub now do we!
  25. I agree with you Stephen,so many young unemployed at the moment,a scheme is needed to try & address this,it wont go away on its own.
