  1. Is the chain brake on?,preventing the cover from going back on.
  2. Im considering purchasing a mechanical descender(s) for single rope use. We(the crew) are all ddrt most of the time, but more frequently it is a good option to use srt. We use XTC Plus(1/2''?) and that limits the options. I would really like a descender that is primarily good for descending the tail of a choked off rope while chogging down.At the moment Im leaning toward the Petzl ID,but I have never seen one in action. Any users? Any tips appreciated.
  3. Were the fish traumatised?
  4. Im pretty sure that Blaze was developed specifically for use with mechanical ascenders/descenders,while XTC was developed specifically for use with hitch cord. Does anyone use the cinch while chogging down, choked off,and descending the tail? Or recommend any other mechanical descender for this? Cheers in advance.
  5. I wish I could climb like that

    Throw line.

I thought Id post a pic of a fishing snap swivel. One of these little beauties saved me a climb back up a poplar at the end of a job today. We usually attach one to the throwball and then use about a 1.5m length of lighter twine, then another snap swivel, attached to the throwline. These will snap open before the throwline breaks.Generally the smaller(lighter) ones are best.
