  7. As I am currently "resting" between assignments, I thought I'd indulge myself with a quick ride out to the 'Beeches and reaquaint myself with some of the old beauties there: (It certainly beats Jeremy Kyle in the morning !!!)
  8. My vast knowledge and experience leads me to believe that it is a tree with a very short life expectancy
  9. I was supposed to be there, but... Had and "interesting" morning at the side of the M11 with a flat tyre instead. Poxy ruddy motorbike. It would have been good to meet you, though I probably wouldn't have known it was you until i got home and read this thread, if you see what I mean...
  10. Sometimes I forget how beatiful the world co be, then things like this remind me:

That's a really nice reduction. At first it's hard to see anything has been done . Glendales needs more like you!

  13. What a f*ckwit! And that's the judge that awarded the compensation
  14. Ooooh, nice. Reminds me of why once apon a time I loved climbing (Nothing to do with the beer n' blokes, honest... )
  15. Not bad for a first attempt... Seriously, that's amazing
  16. Sounds like someone has watched too many episodesof Ground Force
  17. If it's anything like my time at Bedgebury - Westernbirt's little sister - it's nowt but green keeping with more kudos. And poor pay for the priviledge . Not that I want to put anyone off...
  18. It could an interesting debate though: when does sound, tradiditional arboricultural management practice (which this clearli is) cross the line to become topping? Especially in the eyes of the hoi polloi.
  19. Does this mean you are now entitled to put "Loppin and Toppin" on the side of your truck ? It'll be interesting to see how it comes back.
  20. Moving? I'm sure no one would miss you for a day . I've been too much of a coward to do a track day on my '675: the repair bills are extortionate enough from just dropping it while parking .
  21. They're not blessed in the cute department, are they? Work scheduling is going to be a bit of a 'mare for the next few weeks now, what with CROW 2000 etc.
  22. For any of you biker types out there: Triumph Motorcycles - Triumph Experience Don't know which day or venue I'll be signing up for yet, but I will be on one of them Maybe see some of yous lot there as well?
  23. A good reminder, Tony. They are nasty lil' blighters and their potential for damage to our tree cover and human health shouldn't be underestimated.
