  1. Yeah totally lorry. Farm collies can be little barstewards. I know a few like that!
  2. What about this then....
  3. Brilliant....and they are prone to biting too:thumbup1:
  4. Yep- but its alot of well bred dog. £700 worth of hybrid vigour too:thumbup1:
  5. Thats why you teach your dog not to take food from anyone but you, and also why artic' lorries are parked with the rear doors open in lay-bys at night.
  6. There are some bull mastiff x rottweiler pups for sale down here....the dad is 13 stone. Chain one of them up in or outside your lock up and they sods will think twice....£700 each if you are interested.
  7. I know of a load of 20 year old climbing line that is being used to great effect strung between some posts at the edge of some decking. It is very faded and a bit green in places, but looks fine.......is it EVER beyond use?
  8. Well krabs are ali, so can go in the scrap pile when TOTALLY knackered- i have 2 old ones ending their days as dog lead clips at the mo, and when they seize up or fall apart totally will go in the ali pile, and ropes that fail loler are still good for pulling, tying down and a million other uses that dont involve PPE!!
  9. Do you want mud or all terrain? Try any branch of Protyre, Southam tyres in warwickshire, or WA Allen and sons in Cornwall. All good BFG dealers, esp the last of them. The generals, although good, are a bit of a distant second on longevity TBH.
  10. How bad a leak is it? If its just a little drip under the vehicle then leave it go ubtil its a problem- at least you will be topping up with nice fresh oil fairly regularly.
  11. My Late Uncle Charles was a very good friend of Prince Charles, being implicit in setting up the Princes trust organisation, and I can only report that they are down to earth decent people through and through, with genuine concerns for the welfare of the nation and humanity.
  12. And promote and set up a plethora of charitable and business start up organisaztions, aswell as patronising/ promoting and leading many worldwide humanitarian achievements, which without their backing would be nothing.
  13. Not sure about the trees, but the Lily of the valley flowers (if you see any that is) have been supplied by a farmer near to my place.
  14. Having a Royal Family is what distinguishes us from countries such as America, in my view it is a reflection of our history, heritage and culture. Our Royals' history and extended Royal Family are what has made this country great in the past, and what it is today. And before anyone points out how it's somewhat going to the dogs recently, I believe that the attitude shown to the Royals in some of these posts, which is reflected in wider society, goes hand in hand with the general loss or respect for ourselves and others that todays society unfortunately displays.

  17. :laugh1: Unless you want something really specific, then just get whatever you like thats in your price range...they are all much of a muchness, alll have their faults and let downs, and all have their positives.......and that is why all the threads appear to turn into slanging matches. I have a fairly full-on defender, but if i was in your position i would probably get a ranger or l200.
  18. Wow what an amazing tree!!!!!!!
  19. WTF????? I imagine you were built like a tree even back then Stu!!!!
  20. I built this for about £400.....
  21. Yes they among the best. Very well built in general, very reliable and parts easy to source through Global Recycling, probably others too.

    50/1 vs 25/1

If you use good quality 2 stroke then 50-1.....and TBH you should ONLY use good quality 2 stroke. I, and probably most Arbtalkers, use the likes of Stihl or Husky branded stuff or equivalently priced stuff. If you run it at 25-1 you wont really do any damage as such, and if you are using cheapo 2 stroke then you would be advised to. IMO any tree surgeon worth his salt wouldnt dream of mixing the oil and fuel in the saw, but would mix it 5 litres at a time in a proper can:sneaky2:
  23. erm....yes....realised that after I did the poll:blushing:
  24. John deere 6930s, 130- 150hp has a drawbar weight of 3.5 tonnes. That is probably fairly standard for that size of machine. Hope it helps.
