  9. I have yet to find a gizmo, gadget, clamp or machine that would even tempt me away from hand jobs.. Sorry...i mean hand filing
  10. Yeas i have. I can open threads, but there are all these things like a roman villa, a speech bubble with a star in it, some little red men with radio waves coming out of their heads, a villa with a magnifying glass , a gold star etc etc.....ikt looks nothing like arbtalk and i dont get it.....
  11. Please can someone tell me a few pointers on how on earth to use this tapatalk thing. I log on, and get a load of symbols. I can find threads, but havent a clue how to post, or even better, how to post a picture. There dont seem to be any instructions at all.
  12. Having a walk around here in Ellesmere, Shropshire, I have to agree- the amount and size of acorns is phenomenal on the trees here, as are the sloughs, although my wife says that rain has been a stranger. Not noticed any broken limbs as such, but Lucy said she would keep an eye out. Even the terminally ill looking oak that i posted about a while back (with the completely rotten base if you recall it) is showing signs of massive fruiting! I have some pics, but the wrong lead for this computer, but if i understood that uber confusing tapatalk on my blackberry i would post!

    stihl 08

Faster, more safely, with much better anti vibe etc etc etc....
  19. Weaver or treemotion. I have both. The weaver is heavy and cumbersome until you are in the tree, and for spiking poles it is the mutts nuts. Having said that the treemotion is the final word in harnesses........I rarely get the weaver out now...(although i might use it on a pole tomorrow morning having said that hahaha!!)
  20. I have heavy duty land rover springs with land rover helper springs and a roll bar fitted. I popped the standard shocks doing my usual overloading with about 2.5 ton of chip and towing the 935 off road. I spoke to the (phenomenally knowledgeable and uber experienced) Mid Cornwall 4x4 where i get bits and servicing, and they advised them. I didnt think i would find much difference, but they are really responsive when the truck is empty, and i dont get that awful hardness that used to be present, and the bounciness that went with it, just really good road handling and excellent manners. When loaded to the gills the wallowing has gone too, and cornering is basically better all over. I hope that sort of explains it. Just buy a set- they are surprisingly cheap, and you definintely WON'T be disappointed.
