  1. NIce short vid Josh. Good tunes as others have said. One of the things i like about speedlining is the neatnes of the brash pile, and its all pointing the same way for the chipper too. When the 'first' iraq war kicked off, Massive attack were told to drop the 'Attack' part of their name by the UK govt, and the BBC deicded it was innappropriate to use the Attack part of their name. Bomb the Bass were in the same boat.
  2. 108..
  3. I'm not sure about it myself.............. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/climbers-talk/33505-safety-warning-re-marlow-aeris.html

    Tyres

BFG mud terrains. They are a bit pricier than most, but the longevity more than outweighs this. My fronts are near 3 years old and still have about 50% of their 20mm tread left. The cheapest place i have found, including online, is in Cornwall though.......
  6. The cutters are below the pick up tines, so the gorse/ blackthorn/ whatever, is cut and ground at ground level, and the rest is picked up and baled like straw in a conventional round baler. There is very very little left on the ground, including finer stuff. Yeah- one shaft from the tractor into a gearbox.
  7. Come on- you're ten minutes late. This better be good now!!
  8. Yes i ahve, It belongs to a friend of mine. There are only two in the country I think, and only 16 (at last count) in the world. It will handle big bits- IIRC he said up to 10", and in the video the gorse is higher than the tractor cab. The bales weigh a third of a tonne, and have the equivalent calorific value as 1/3 of a barrel of oil, so you end up with a very useable product, which due to the coarse nature of the bale, dries quickly.
  9. I reckon the saw was on its side, pull start cord downwards, resting on one of the thinner poles you were felling, with the powerhead up against the log, and the tip on or above another log, and another pole was felled/ landed on the bar. Edit- Barrington got it in fewer words than me lol!
  10. Putting a waterproofing such as dubbin, Renapur (which is very good BTW) can interfere with how the Gore-tex performs.
  11. My thing is more about how innocent anybody who worked for the WTO actually was. (and yes i understand that there were many in there who were visiting, porters, police etc etc before anybody points that out, and although I think the act was sick and wrong, I also feel that the WTO is not exactly white as the driven snow when it comes to responsibility for thousands of innocent deaths...in fact many more than died on 11.9.2001)
  12. True, but once a baler or mulcher has been in, the diggers work is a fraction of what it was before, and you dont end up with huge piles of crap that need burning or chipping or whatever.
  13. I am sorry, and i am sure many will despise me for this, but i will be trying to ignore the issue altogether.
  14. Nice set-up arbwork.
  15. Yep. Gorse: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PNL5bBXZos]Ru's biobaler - YouTube[/ame]

  17. several people on here sell and make these sort of items. What you are after is a 'waney edged' piece of wood.
