  1. Wow! a million miles away from my world. I can just about afford to keep a defender and chipper on the road. My missus has an old vectra that gets repaired when absoloutely necessary. I long to be able to buy another vehicle, but i know i couldnt afford to put it on the road. Still paying for my sawmill and missus's horses. I might sell the mill and buy an ak47 and giant horse minceing machine.:001_tongue:Or a divorce lawyer!:001_tongue:LOL
  2. Its christmas all over again in largs next week then:sneaky2:From what i hear stevie has made himself a chipper advent calendar:001_tongue:
  3. Prussik(double fishermans), blakes, distel, bowline(/running), timberhitch, cowhitch, larksfoot(not really a knot i know, but grabs biner nicely).
  4. Yeah but if you turned up and tried that in front of ant nptc instructor they would probably shoot you/ themselves/ run like hell. Good for impressing the ladies, but i honestly have to agree with the majority of the replies above. Sorry.
  5. On your bitch??????????????Surely you dont take your pet female dog on your bike do you mate:001_tongue:
  6. I think you have a point there rich- I understand what it is, and think your last comment may have hit the nail on the head.
  7. Isnt that a compliment......:thumbup:And yeah- 170:congrats:
  8. What about kipping in a van in the car park???? Do yiou reckon travelodge would mind:001_tt2: I may have found a way of coming after all:001_cool:
  9. Why do you want to take this sort of crap anyway? Eat well, work hard play hard- isnt that enough without supplement.
  10. Makes total sense:- if you build up muscle very quickly then your tendon/ligament strength will not keep up, and as you go on working/training you are automatically demanding more of your body. Instead of all parts of your spino-skeletal system working in unison, you have introduced weak points, i.e. your ligaments/ tendons. Therefore you will unavoidably overstrain these parts. It doesnt necessarily occur just from taking things like creatine- a sudden increased workload can have the same effect: I went through a period of building stone walls, and when making stones for one wall we worked out that we were doing about 10,500 hammer hits per day for about a four week period, and about half that on normal stonework, all with approx 2.5lb lump hammers. I ended up with massive forearms, but took painkillers instead of resting, and ended up with such bad tennis and golfers elbow that i had to stop altogether. That was 3 years ago and i cant use a hammer for more than about 10 minutes still, or straighten my arm properly.
  11. Do you REALLy want to be posting top speed figs off your bike on a public forum???????????????????? Most impressive nontheless!
  12. Latest update- may have found a way around all this, and still be able to come. Hope against hope!!!
  13. All of the above- and i dont find leg movement restricted.
  14. Unless you are miles from the exchange then dont bother with mobile internet, get a landline. The download speeds on fixed line broadband are massively faster than mobile, and the mobile stuff is at the moment beset with problems such as signal drop off and fair usage policies which are much lower than landline connections. Get a netgear wireless router DG834pn. Netgear are the most reliable and versatile net stuff there is, and their routers are REALLY easy to use and allow wireless and 4 wired connections.:001_smile:Going halves is a great idea, as long as you trust your neighbour not to blame you when the hours of dodgy porn come up on the bill!!LOL
  15. Try westree sawmills in henstridge 01963 364 590. They should be able to point you in the right direction if they cant supply it.
  16. Leave it with me- might be able to come up with a supplier. Is western red structurally strong enough?
  17. Certainly fummy looking pop mate!! I deal with a couple of really excellent carvers, one of whom is on this forum, Carver si, and neither of them use slack or blunt chains. They insist on the chains being razor sharp. What they do do is buy canon bars with 'dime' tips for doing the detailed stuff, with a 1/4" pitch, and take a grinder to the back of the cutter, so that when the chain goes round the bar tip the back of the link doesnt lift the working corner off the wood. For carving mushrooms and roughing out pieces of work they both use normal bars and chains, bur still razor sharp and correctly tensioned.
  18. All i can say is dont ever, ever, ever get involved with horesy women to the degree that mine is into them. Its like living with a heroin addict. I have done that in my dark and distant past, and theres not much difference except my missus doesnt dribble and thieve as much. Anyway- thats off topic enough now- back to who's staying at travel lodge. Other than me of course.Haha.
  19. No its not THAT bad! 42 horses at last count. Thats a looad of shoes!
  20. Gutted. Losing the will to live!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. :cursing:Would be- but cant come- missus just informed me that the bailiffs were here yesterday for the council tax that apparently hasnt been paid this year. I think her vet had that!
  22. Vermeer.........mmmmmmmmm:biggthumpup:
  23. Exactly that. Was looking at some work with another surgeon tonight which he wants help with. He said that beck in the 80's people did exactly that- home improvements, hence workload went right up, as it seems to be a bit now. But, after about 2 years things quietened down almost overnight! :scared1:Everyone thought each other was taking work!
  24. I reckon Anna wants to erect some anti climb fencing. It should run from the dry bit in the left of the field right through. Failing that get the thing undercover and out of sight completely.
