  2. Hi all, I have just come back afghan and think I need to replace my top handler. The choice was simple ms200t, but how does the ms201 hold up and dare I say it any new on the new husky 540 (I will be buying in Oct at the end of my tour)? Any thoughts or experience would be helpful. Also after an Ifor Williams LM 105 or similar anyone is selling one. Thanks in advance, Mark
  3. Hi no change to things where I am in the upper GERESHK valley. The locals don't care and it doesn't look like the insurgents do either! Been doing some interesting tree work though - det cord PE4, tree down, fields of fire open. Bring it on. Also this is the first time I've been on arbtalk for 8 weeks! my wife will be so pleased.
  4. Get an alarm, but they'll get in if they want to anyway, at least an alarm should make them scarper. Or get some geese; a good crook deterrent and awesome Christmas dinner... Yum yum!
  5. Sorry to hear that, it makes you feel sick ( and angry). We had someone in our sheds last week but they legged it when the workshop alarm went off. Dad went out with his gun but they had gone by then. Fortunately nothing took their fancy in the tractor shed!
  6. Hi I tried to buy 8 acres near lydney, I thought it would go for about 10-18k nut actually went for 50k. Gobsmacked as it was on a steep hill and full of rubbish with no decent trees! Anyway probably best not to let your mate see this!
  7. You're probably right and that says a lit about the state of the nation!
  8. Ouch! But you can't blame the machine for that.
  9. I've got its brilliant quick and provided you are sensible, I think they are quite safe. I'd definitely get another.

    Celox

I used Celox last week in afghan on my recce - it almost definitely saved a life, I also used a CAT tourniquet (another must for first aid kit). It is awesome but you still need to apply pressure and carry out normal first aid. From experience I wouldn't use quick clot it heats up and if miss used can do more harm. Celox mesh all the time.
  11. Just go for it. Ihave always found them really friendly and loads of people with give you advice! I am sure you will love it.
  12. Ha ha, but has one shrunk or had the other swollen? The docsaid it could get as bog as a football! Ouch!
  13. Thanks to a botched hernia op I've got one of those! Or has the other shrunk...
  14. I love bikes I got my first for my fifth birthday. Just sold a GS 1150 which was awesome it would carrying all my climbing kit and a ground saw. I have now got a CCM 404 for greenlaning and messing about great fun but a bit heavy and very loud ( though as antisocial as it is I love loud bikes).
  15. I also have had tennis elbow for about a year and it has just had a rest after my hernia op. First day in the gym and it's back so I went see my pyhsio and she had started using acupuncture needles on the trigger points - hurts like hell but she thinks 3 or 4 treatments should sort it. If it works I will let you know the medical term for the treatment so you try and and get some. Mark
  16. We just had iron my wifes brand new laptop - this was definitely not a hoax. It also stops you from download virus cleaner so it will have to to fixed. Very annoyed
  17. Here's some I took this afternoon. I hope these upload ok!

    ms 200t

You haven't left it with fuel in the carb without being run for a bit? - that causes mine to play up just as you describe, i always run it dry if it won't be used for a week or more now. Otherwise as Tom says above, or a trip to the dealer to get carb cleaned out. Hope this helps.
