  1. This, perhaps with a bit of raking, carrying beech rings through a narrow passage for a few hours. Trying to start a flooded husky, all with the first twinges of tennis elbow👍 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  2. Will do. Cheers Mark Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  3. Hi Stephen, Gutted for you, but could you put up the spec of the truck and crane etc or put a link up I may be interested. Cheers Mark Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  4. Dan's a good instructor, if you get him. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  5. Mechanics fastfit. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  6. I may be interested, how much and any photos? Cheers Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  7. You only get one life so why not just get someone who knows what they're doing to fetch it out. Sounds a bit like your heading for an upset. £50 a rescue isn't so bad,may also help to motivate you not to spank in so often😀 Sent from my Nexus 7 using Arbtalk mobile app
  8. That's sort of what I anticipated, nothing too serious. I find my tipper likes rear bushes and brake pads quite often as well! Thanks
  9. Thanks Gray, would you say as a base vehicle it costs anymore your other L/R, given that's it's basically always fully loaded? Cheers Mark
  10. Thanks Gray, that's what I thought. At the time I was looking at. MEWP mounted on a 5.5t chassis, mot exempt and running on red. By the way how does your insurance compare to your 130?
  11. Bit of a thread resurrection and deviation. I'm sure some time ago when I was researching MEWPs there are restrictions on towing (trailer had to be related to the work of the MEWP or something). I can't find the source doc, but do the restrictions only apply to tax exempt classes or all MEWPs? I think only tax exempt classes but can't remember. I may also be totally wrong!
  12. Hi,. Does anyone know if there's a place near Bristol/ Cardiff area that goes out Land Rover MEWPs? I'm looking for a week initially. Cheers Mark
  13. Used both a lot. I went for the Jensen as a owner operator, slightly 'softer' but much easier to live with.
  14. Well did you have any free squirrels or not😁😁?
  15. Hi Joe, Heard about this and though you wanted to stop at the Wooly Inn for a curry! Anyway glad you're ok and not next the Chris in Southmead. Sounds odd at that speed, but gently accelerating through the snake is what I believe you should do. Out of interest do you know of the trailer was nose or tail heavy? Mark
  16. I'd be lost without the lorry, even used it to put a piano through the French doors😎
  17. Amongst other things I managed to the land rover back together apart from a few rivets (thanks to crappy rivet gun). Off to the stickerman next👍👍
  18. I seem to have 'lost' most of the photos. I'll get some tomorrow as it goes together. It's going to be a bit of delicate Crane driving...
  19. Mine quadtech has 3 shelves all the way around. It doesn't have the side doors yours has. I can get 3 set of climbing kit, rigging kit saw and the the bits and bobs we need for a week in it. Although it seems the full of crap after half a day on Friday! A roof tent is a good idea - I could get in it and watch the boys get on with work😁😁
  20. Looking good! You'll find the quadtech really handy.
  21. Loving the barn, must make life a lot easier
  22. Cheers Gray,. The quadtech had a couple of bolts that were a mare to undo but all in all an easy job to unbolt it and disconnect the electrics etc. Once I broke the corrosion, 2 of us could lift the box easily, so I just lifted it with the hiab from 4 attachment points in the roof rack. Much easier than i was led to believe (had been told not to do this but it worked OK and the box isn't that heavy). Photos tomorrow! Btw mine will be the same colour as yours😎😎 good job we're at other ends of the country! What did you paint the Ali on the box with? Etch primer the top coat? Cheers Mark
