  2. How come some of those splitters can be operated with 1 hand?
  3. Id just replace any worn parts as parts are as cheep as chips.
  4. £150 a day sounds about right must be some lawn to spend 5 hours on it. When I quote for this work i spit it into 12 payments of equal amount. Must be able to trust the client to pay all the money.
  5. I think a men from Cornwall may be able to help you.
  6. See if we can spot any members from here on there
  7. Think they are still about, a lot of countys are fitted with them.
  8. What about a cooks winch?
  9. Thats Fords for you mate
  10. Report it my dad is a Post and says they can not leaver anything with anyone else without writing to the depot first.
  11. Think the Havana 1 is specifically made for using with saw head. There was a bit about it in th FJ a while ago.
  12. Ive got a plow and a cultivator bar in the shed for 1 of those.
  13. You can only use a 15" bar as thats the idea of the course cutting big trees with small bars. A 260 would be ideal when I did mine 1 chap did his with a 441 and 15" bar.
  14. Saw a chemical store mad out of 1 once. Looked as if the cut the door out the reinforced the door and frame with angle iron. Seems pretty simple.
  15. Do people buy things in Leeds thought they just BORROWER kit off each other
  16. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZJua6Tu49Ak]YouTube - Ingersoll Garden Tractor Hydraulic 2-way Log Splitter Model K-32[/ame]
  17. Looks a nice tool any idea on price Jon?
  18. I have alot of spacing to do later this year, and this seems like the ideal tool. I am waiting to see if you can put a strimer head onto it, seems like it would be ideal for banks etc. Only downside is the cost! That looks a good tool you wouldn't want to work too close to anyone else thou.
  19. Problem is Justin can only sell saws face to face well for the first 1 I think. I recommend Justin or Clarke's for kit, had excellent service for both, fare better than my 2 local dealers.
  20. Think the problem with the 390t is most have been used on stock farms. So lead a hard life and suffer from rust being in the myer all the time. Maybe worth spending a bit more time and money looking for the right tractor.
  21. Great bit of ingenuity there mate.
  22. Sorry meant cant, thats what I would say his price is the same as hiring a machine. Hope he isn't a member on here or he will be putting his prices up. A lot of people under estimate cost of running machinery. Cant believe JCB operators only charge £25 an hour for a 40K machine.
  23. The chap I brought the mower off had a surfer on demo and said it was the scariest machine he had ever driven. His employee used to cal my mower Carrie after the Stephen King book. TBH I was scared of it at first but once you get used to it they are great with the odd set deck you can get right under trees. Saving loads of strimming.
  24. If there is someone local hiring for £140 locally can see how you would ever compete with that I would say min £200.
