bulldog spring rake justin, just buy in 20, because if you look after it you will get a few years out of it, always compliment your rake with a good shovel, too many rakes are wrecked by idiots using them to shift tons of sawdust like a bulldozer in reverse:sneaky2:it is illegal to lay a rake on the ground. instant dismissal:mad1:

if your winching then you can control the tension, some tighten the winch too much, i just take the weight first and cut and as it starts to close on the cut just keep going with the winch at the same rate, if you are scared it will break off the hinge then put the pulling rope lower so it pulls it over quicker, so when its back upright and starts to fall, gun it with the winch and it will slap it over. be the tree. stand out in the garden with a rope around you and have someone pull on it, move it up and down and create more force, try moving from left to right, stand on either leg. you will learn a lot from this simple demo, too many folk fell from the wrong side first because they just prefer either the pushing or pulling side of the chain. you always want to leave the holding wood last. but i think it doesnt matter on young sycamore, just cut to the hinge quickly and let it go itself, the minute you add pull the hinge will go.

i was shown a menu when i signed on 14 years ago of what things are worth and they would be deducted from my giro if i accepted them as payment. i was told this because i told them i was staying with farmer friends who would feed me and put a roof over my head for work. i claimed 8 quid one week because i did a garden and they knocked 16quid off my giro, the next time i claimed 16quid and they knocked off 32 quid. so i just chucked the whole thing and survived with out it:001_smile: -

your hair grows faster than a poplar in horse dung mick, at capel it was a gloriously tight knitted mini affro, now you have went all 70's in a matter of months. my backhair combover is just tip top thanks, especially when it isnt windy:ohmy:

i bought the 4mix pole pruner last year mark, runs like a bust couch, really slow on the uptake, never broke down but just not as good as the 2 stroke version.

i think you can lift a fair bit with it mate, sorry to jump in reg, just i am home skiving just now. its just a matter of retensioning and pulling down, i think

they are wireless headsets that use bluetooth aswell, you can put your phone through them aswell, so you can work as far away from each other as you want, as long as you are both onthe same network, calls are free. but these ones are superb, you can hold a normal conversation while standing at the chipper or witha saw running full tilt, one of mine has packed, i have still to send it away to get looked at, but i am just going to renew it anyway. they are 5 years old now so the new ones should be even better. i need to get my finger out and post them, i really miss them when working:sad: just put peltor headsets into google. the ones i am getting are 178 quid:001_smile:

i use that method if felling multi-stemmed stuff, if you cant get in with the saw easily.
