  1. i find these questions so wide open, a good tree climber has nothing to do with keeping groundies happy, a good tree climber is what he or she is. an all round good climbing, team player keeps everyone happy. if a good climber uses every piece of kit in justins catalogue, then so be it. if they work with the basics but get the same result then thats just as good.
  2. well done edd, pitty i never saw you climb mate, we didnt hang about long on the saturday
  3. love the heat, if it gets too much i usually get my head under a tap or get an ice lolly. i change into combats if the cutting is finished, if there is money to earn then charge on i say. but i do like to take an early finish and come home and play with my kids then if i need to go back out later to tidy any loose ends up i will when its closer. likes of tonight, i went out pricing at 7.30 and came home about 10pm. Billy i cant believe you are still on here bad mouthing your boss, i am with rich, either stand up to him or get on with it. if its so easy then go and do it yourself:001_smile:

  10. nice enough little show, but have to agree with john and andy, i wont bother again because of the travelling to and from the show to digs, pubs, restaurants etc. meeting some familiar faces and new was excellent, but didnt get a chance to chat to folk properly because everyone was on such a tight schedule to get to and from. jonesie and other exhibitors were all very welcoming and all round good guys. reg(rco) deserves a medal for standing around for 2 days explaining his gizmos, all very impressive and generated alot of interest even from cut n chuckers like me and huck. totally knackered but had a great weekend. surely there are some fields beside a travelodge somewhere in the country. but i am sure jonesie will have all this sorted out for us in 2 months time.

  20. that is lower than low, thats why i work for myself. i remember being up a tree for about 5 hrs, summers night gasping and i saw the 2 groundies going into my bag and drinking the last of my juice and finishing my pieces. thats after they had chips while i was still up tree.
  21. you are going to be about 7 stone by friday mate, with no skin left on your shins or hips:ohmy:enjoy the crown because the trunk will be a killer, wedges and a giant lever mate. good luck. think of the wonga. i will stick a pint behind the bar for you
  22. he who fills in the paperwork the best wins, simples.
  23. i have only ever seen one approved aa contractor working, maybe they ticked all the boxes on the day of their assesment, but they were breaking every rule i could think of the day i saw them operate. how is it monitored? do they do un anounced site visits? or do they give you plenty of warning so you can look squeaky clean on the day.
  24. do you mean being an aa approved contractor or i take it you can just join as a member. if so i am neither, didnt realise you could do the latter, if you can. what do you get out of it, i am now intrigued. i am a sucker for a T shirt:001_smile:
