  12. i have left totempoles all over the country, back gardens and front. some folk want to put up climbers, hammocks, tree houses, bird boxes, cat scratching posts, something for the birds to sit on or just like big bits of wood in their garden, i dont care what other tree cutters think of my work, its not a popularity contest, it is a contract between me and my customer. simples
  13. the woodchip needs to extract nitrogen from the soil to compost, the fungis is all part of the deal, rake them in as huck says..if he told you it was pure soil then not cool, if you knew it had woodchip in it then thats just the way it is, he should of told you this would happen though

  15. i havent been bored since i found this site, this job is all about learning, and unless someone actually shows you most of the time you have to learn the hard way. i can now pic thousands of guys brains at the press of a button, free advice from guys that know..i am in the house as much as possible since i have a young family, the computer is on all day, someone is on it, either the wife doing the shopping, the wee man playing games or me on here. i have made friends, socialised and have daily chats with arbtalkers at work on the phone, sometimes just for a laugh or advice on things. i can be changing nappies, walking dogs answering phones all between posts, i think most of us are the same. its great for others to say they like your work or kit. i have learnt loads on here. and i am contueing to, i estimate i will be overtaking mr lofthouses posts by october to:001_cool:

  18. if you cant make money doing trees do something else, put the saws in a cupboard and go and find another job. simples. make a wage and play in trees at the weekend. what is for you wont go by you as they say, you wont be a failure you will be a survivor. say to your self ' i can and i will' make it your moto in life. if you can adapt to a situation you will survive. if you cant make money then how can you save money, get rid of what you dont need. dont see your parents as enemies, they are seeing the bigger picture and they care, very important and very lucky to have that..ask their advice, take it onboard and extract what you need. if you are above ground then its a good day my friend. stay positive, negative thoughts weakens the body and mind..
