  1. tell me more lee, i have tried buying big kit, which is great for a while then i get bored, freelance climbing then get bored, taking on big jobs then get bored...i have more than i ever thought i would asset wise, and i have money in the bank but i strugle to find enjoyment in anything...that is why the last couple of shows have been great, meeting new guys and having a laugh, this site is a godsend for me because it is more like a hobby now, i used to get lost in my work, grafting all the time, but my back cant take too much, my life is my family now and that is all i want to do, spend time with my boys, but self employment always gets in the way, we go a run in the van and end up looking at work, i go to the cafe or shops, and i meet folk that ask me about work..that is how i earn a living because i just go and do it, not messing about, i can sometimes switch off but not very often..i need some more hypno relaxing i think, it has been a while:001_smile:

  5. some misfits took some black insulating tape to the second c once and made a rude word:ohmy:
  6. we dont think alexander has asthma but when he used to get a cold he could never shake it, it was stuck in his chest, the brown inhaler has a steroid in it, he got better almost overnight and his appetite is great now....hope we are not derailing too much here
  7. he got that aswell, but isnt there paracetamol in nurofen:confused1:
  8. i never knew that dave, alexander has inhalers, the blue and the brown one, only gets the brown one at bedtime..they wont diagnose asthma until they are 10 we were told but it really helped him as he was always coughing and snuffily at bedtime..BUT when he was tiny he was always full of nurofen to try and help him:ohmy:he never coughs at all now and hardly gets colds but he hasnt had nurofen for ages...i wonder if that is what was causing most of the problem:thumbdown:
  9. good job cutter, the kit can only help but the skill is still in the operators:001_cool:

  19. i know of 3 wellies that were planted at the end of the first world war to commemorate the death of a family member of the big house. one still stands, one is split in half and the other i felled..they are idential to yours by the looks of it. it would be interesting to know the age when you are done mate
  20. the folk that have sense will have bought a starter bag of tricks with the saw ,trousers, protective wellies, hat gloves.and they usually have a lovely filing kit aswell. these folk are fine, terrified of the saw and only cut things in a vice they have rigged up in their shed.. the other mentals will never be told..the best/worst one i ever saw was rocket scientest, yes he worked for nasa....shorts, sandals, woodturners clear visor and a workmate...he was about 5'2" 7 stone and he had a brand new husky that would make an oregon logger nervous(biggest you can get especially flown in from the states) with a 30 inch bar..i tried to explain to him the dangers and he looked at me as if i had 2 heads. if i were you, i would sell them the wood and let them go, get some flyers off some trainers like arbocop and hand them too them and walk away..some people just feel they know better and cant sense danger, half the time the chains are on backwards anyway
