  1. If I can negotiate a price down I won't deal with them, I ask for the best price first.
  2. I am currently in the jeep, my combo can full of Aspen is in the boot and I wouldn't know it was there, with petrol my head would be thumping , and that's before I even run a saw! It's made s huge difference for me, I'll be getting the 4 stroke version for mowers and Gloria next year!
  3. Makes me cringe!
  4. Saw that a while back, brilliant machine for Village work!
  5. Knuckle jabs from Hawthorn are worse than a shelf ime, it will release histamen into your system, I carry anti histamine in the van, take 1 asap. Your hand will tighten up and swell when you slow down. Make sure your jabs are up to date, if there is still a skelf in a couple of days, don't hack in with a pin or knife, meet to the DRS and get antibiotics and it removed. I had to wear a splint for a week years ago and also nearly lost my finger due to being a numpty! Had 1 go in 1 side of my thumb and out the other side once when I fell against a tree, now that smarted!!!
  6. Nice!
  7. Blunt blades, poor chip cage design equals your problem. Sorry mate😃
  8. That's cool, it's there to do a job better and more efficiently than current machines on the market. Maybe just maybe just before they invest millions on a new piece of kit they do some research , just maybe The likes of John Deere have given it a bit of thought. No other trees were harmed, no debris was left that me turn into tinder in the summer months, jobs a goodun:biggrin:
  9. Thanks for that, I'll get my finger out and get it rebuilt.
  10. Some are just being picky, urban smurban who cares :001_rolleyes:the point being is you have chosen a machine that was available and you new its history, that was the biggest selling point I believe. Eddie really knows his stuff, if he sells punt the machine and re invest the money in a different machine, that's what I'd do:thumbup1:
  11. I was meaning the green mechs hopper is at the steering end! There is no doubt on a chipping competition, a bigger chipper will chip more. I used to have a Bandit 250 tow behind! Shall I go on a Tracked TW thread and laugh at their machines and tell them they should get 1 of them because it's bigger? I would sound very naive! I've been doing this job for nearly 20 years, owned and operated a huge amount of machines, the 1 that has simplified mine the most and made me the most money, mis the CS 100! If you can't work out why some of us use them then just think we are daft but let us advise others that may see the bigger picture
  12. To answer the question , the hopper is at the driving steering end.
  13. Well there a blast from the past! I bought all the parts, and they are still in the box , wow can't believe its 4 years ago!
  14. That's nuts!
  15. CS 100 here, amazing little chippers. It changed my whole life the day I bought 1.
  16. Fair play guys, not a job I would ever want to do. A good door man always made you feel at ease.
  17. Terrifying!!! Thanks for the diagram Scotspine.
  18. The only rope I've ever owned I didn't like!! Horrible twisty stuff, even after milking it!
  19. As above! I built my Hiab trailer for £4k years ago. Look out for a good tandem axle trailer, pick up a Hiab for a grand, good tyres and then a fabricator!
  20. Ishoran, I use my selector grab for brambles and gorse, on small stuff I rip out and mash into a pile, even dig a hole every 20' and bury it, all job dependant and obviously discussed with customer. Gorse aswell, find an opening, pull out by the roots and stack to burn or again just bury! I'm not working on building sites so a gardener isn't going to get a surprise when he try's to dig a pond! I use the grab for draining and ditching too if the ground allows! It's great for pipe laying. Don't just spend what you can just now, listen to Eddie, don't just say yes but!!! Good luck😃
  21. Nice guy, rubbish at tree work!
  22. As a kid my dad acquired a shopping trolley on New Year's Day, I would fill it up out in the garage, broadside it into the house, down the steps and hey Presto( that's where trolley came from)
  23. They were driving through all the mud because it was a demo! Obviously on a site you would dodge the murkiest bits if you could, but if your inviting would be buyers in, you have to get the wheels mucky! That with a chip body, rear mount monster Hiab and huge front mount would be emmense!
  24. ive not trained properly in over 2 years! i was sore all the time and life revolved around the gym and i had loads going on in life so just chucked it. im at the stage now where i need to get back yo the gym, i eat well and lifes great, i have the time now and need to do some training, ive joined the local gyms and about to organise my induction. im 39 and been in a harness for nearly 20 years and my hips are feeling it.
