Got a '99 Stihl 036 and a 2008 Echo CS-600; both done at least 12000 (twelve thousand) hours each with no issues. The 036 has had a new starter rope, brake band, plug or two and a few b&c's. The Echo has had just b&c's. Draw your own conclusions.

Something along the lines of you charge 20% but only pay 10.5% to HMRC so keeping 9.5%. Downside is you can't claim anything under £2k back...

See the ones is Richards link; fantastic price but they have the infamous rubber tread pattern (see image below) like those orange ones they sell in Builders merchants; they don't grip through oil at all and are heavy due to the rubber.

Yes! The 550 is a bloated overweight down-tuned, down cubic-inched 620; pointless saw imo. Just get a 620 or indeed the 501 which is zippy and light. -
