  1. Some outdoor clothing manufacturer! They can go run and jump. Rain is wrong, period.
  2. My ol M500 used to make us laugh when you put a short length i.e. 8" long by 3" diameter bit down there. It would dance around in there with the drum for a while as each end of the piece got pencil-sharpened and then right on cue, bang; the chipper would mortar the projectile back out the hopper! You could tell it was coming so we used to stand back, watch and wait
  3. Total tonnage / volume coming out?
  4. Haha They rang yesterday to say they were in, better go pick em up! I got the price down a bit. They gave a pair of something similar since they messed up the order; I was refuelling the harvester, next to useless, no grip at all. Put the knackered old oil grip on, perfect!
  5. "Barely able to keep the lights on" is a description I heard re FC today...
  6. PR infected I suspect...
  7. Putting it mildly. We've kept cutting and cutting and cutting; rather a lot sat there now... Everyone's in the same boat here; so little timber flowing that the buyers can't get stock... Cursed weather.
  8. It will be for sale the moment it lands!
  9. Arizona or the Atacama desert!!! 2 more warm and sodden ones and we're off. Prob be Oz tho as family there...
  10. Blinkin' eck! Serious set of aux oil coolers on there for obvious reasons! Thanks for posting!
  11. Nope, not at the moment. Until last autumn going into this winter there hasn't been the need to diversify to keep busy. I'm borderline emigrating let alone putting up with this weather. I've got another job to go to but it's another £1500 to shift the machines and £1500 back again...
  12. I just tempted fate with that post this morning. At 8am the contract was stopped again (2nd time). Rich landowners seem to think we can afford to park the gear up and go off to france for 3 months
  13. Other than what? I don't do logs.
  14. Back to normal then; and the next 10 days forecast the same. Totally and utterly sick of it and starting to have serious concerns for business now... A few log firms gone under down here this season, purely due to the warm and wet; but the wet more as it's ruined stock (like thousands of tons) with flooded yards. We have extracted about 2 lorry loads in 5 months! Killer.
  15. What was the final analysis?
  16. Heavy rain; same forecast for the next 10 days. Back to normal then.
  17. Look at the beloved old models still avaiable in sensible parts of the world!! Petrol chainsaws for forestry | STIHL
  18. If it's a fake - a flippin good one at that but I'm not sure now... some differences in the mouldings... However the 361 is still available in Slovakia; sellers name looks Slovak; here's his FB profile: https://www.facebook.com/stanislav.fudaly
  19. This... Stihl chainsaw ms 361 | eBay Something seems amiss...
  20. Not mine thankfully. How gutting would that be...
  21. Stunning: cold, dry and bright with blue blue sky :adore: We need 2 months of it minimum.
