  1. Sorry This Item Now Sold Dalen Firewood Processor & Leyland Tractor | eBay
  2. Squeezy bottle with tube to put new oil back in... Can be an awkward procedure but I've only ever done fwd transaxles and access to diffs and transfers on a 4wd is probably easier. If you need a GL-5 hypoid make sure it is; GL-4 isn't really a hypoid. Saying that, if the synchro is worn or stiff, it might be worth looking at RL gearoils which are non-corrosive to the synchro. Clash might justify a thicker grade; what's the mileage on the vehicle?
  3. I'm delighted to read this review; there's a reason I like my Echo's.
  4. Ones I know: Yew Tree Inn - Cliffords Mesne, May Hill, Glos. 👍👍👍 The Royal Oak - Meavy, Dartmoor. 👍👍 The Linden Tree - Glos. ?-never been in there. The Swingle Tree - Callington (not strictly a tree obv). The Fox and Elms - Tuffley, Glos. The Cherry Tree - Plymouth. To be continued...
  5. Used prices always hard to value; I'd want immaculate at that price. Only parts should be heads and line! Depends on how "rough" a user you are! Decent amount of enthusiastic dealers...
  6. I have the 300. Smooth, strong, torquey, beautifully made, lightweight and completely reliable.
  7. Neither, obviously!
  8. Will have to take a look; grab is fine. Fave hose is Gates Megaflex, use a lot of Hydroscand; good value our way i.e £10/m for 3/4" multi-spiral.
  9. Why will they go autotune? Echo have sworn they never will...
  10. So tis, yes. Not up to speed on downsides of stratos if there are any?
  11. That Sir, is the ultimate, rolls royce of fuels. Way to go.
  12. Echo 620sx on aspen; that would be a clean reliable saw; no auto/t, strato not sure, prob has cat muffler but it will last well on alkylate fuel. Likewise 6100 / 7900 Dols. I spend 20% of my work time on a saw now instead of 100% so the move to aspen is actually on the radar; never thought I'd say that! Brashing racks with poor quality gasoline soon makes you think of your health.
  13. I heard something about inclined cylinders being more prone to fuel cooling issues due to the mix/gas follow through the engine. The incoming mixture has a part to play with cooling thus the 2-stroke oil has a significant impact in this respect.
  14. Crike, what a shame, are you talking hundreds / thousands of metres going up in smoke? Mad! Ive just worked out 1200 sticks a week here, but thats through a 754 head.
  15. Just refuse to do it. Sooner loose the customer than have that on my conscience / reputation.
  16. Day or week?
  17. Tipped off the hardwood mate, kept some softwood in the house though!
  18. I aspire to a Deutz; weren't some of them air cooled and best avoided?
  19. Yep, sure was mate. Those were the days eh
  20. My roundwood has been a mix of larch, douglas, lime, ash, beech, oak, birch the last two seasons; no complaints about the lime at all. Would have thought sweetnut was preferable to lime. I have customers who request softwood over hard; shame you can't find some too WW.
  21. Sorry but that's simply not true. Jaso spec does not denote performance whatsoever as if one FB oil has exactly the same lubricating qualities as another; likewise for FC / FD. Brand A FD oil (syn) will demonstrate greater affinity for hot metal than will Brand B FB oil (min) for example... For starters...!
