  1. Cheers chap, could you tell me ,did it come with a large or small pinto and is the eye held open with anything Pinto setup does look wicked, being able to 3:1 makes it more usefull than the cocoon, just dosn't look as nice.imo Gotta stop looking at this site, ends up costing me a fortune

    queenstown NZ

:scared1:Stayed there for a few months myself, last time i was in nz, one of my fav places in the world, but that lake is colder than it looks, even in the height of summer can't wait to get back out there again
  3. Has anyone used the teufelberger pully saver? Looks a lot like your home made ones, just costs about 4 times more, But maybe good for people who can't splice, wonderd if it works better than the rope guide?
  4. a good pic of the set up on the pinto thread, not sure how to link it with this dam phone:001_smile:''' only just got my pinto so haven't had a go myself, looks like the hc setup but the top crab sits the other way, so it could mess with the hitch abit more
  5. Found the vid after i posted, 3:1 cheers anyway
  6. Always wonderd what that plastic tube did! drew what where you doing with the revolver, got any pics! just got a pinto in the post haven't had a chance to try it out yet:001_cool:
  7. Don't know why your worried about it rupe, i'm sure if someone climbed on a hc, witout a hitch they'd soon know about it, I think everyone knows it's just a pully, but it does keep everything nice and tidy place. for exstend briges, redirects, same as the lockjack, just have to be careful you don't pull on the running end when you unclip or your LJ goes wizzing up the line,
  8. Swinny I think distal and pully is the next step, after that try a vt hc combo, and then if you've go a spare £200 burning a hole go for the lock or spider jack, think the best thing for making climing smooth/easyer is a rope guide
  9. My basic works pretty well without wire in the eye, you just need the plastic ring for the eye to loop round,a conus cap and to hang it real loose
  10. Year, been meaning to go and have a go myself but never got round to it, But worth a look, I think they might even have a crock up there, as I remember
  11. Start by drawing what you want it to look like on the top and sides, then cut off the bits you dont want, and round it all off, ifms Why don't you take a trip up to coney westen, steve? im sure ben and the others would be happy to give you some tips
  12. There's two slits in the main body, making a kind of flap with a metal latch at the bottom, (Its what makes the first snap) simpley pull it up and pop the cage out with your finger. if that makes sence
  13. Don't quite get what your getting at, to release the ball you give the throw line a tug if thats what you mean? or to take the throw off you just untie it
  14. It’s like bungee cord, even after a years use, to much wasted energy IMO
  15. 99% on here will tell you geckos’s mate, but as I got a good deal on them ,I’ve just brought some alloy bashlins:confused1:

  20. All looks pretty good, not sure you need the flip line though and personally I’d go for a 5m lanyard instead of 3.5, makes it that little bit easier limb walking, and progressing up the tree Have fun, and be interested how you get on with the kids harness.

Tell me about it Had my gas changed over from metre about six months ago, rang them up to change it back as I’m planning on going abroad to work, turns out that they hadn’t been D Debiting me I just got a 6 monthly for £800, going through the process of fighting it at the moment.
  24. Don’t have too much trouble with my soft loop, like the way it doesn’t caught in tight spots, just have to hang it real loose, these help, especially the little cap thing, probably the most expensive bits of plastic known to man though !!
  25. Cheers Bro! To hot out here for type C’s at the mo, just have to save up for some A’s through winter, that’s if I get a job
