  1. There's a bloke called Dylan Walker In Beccles, not sure of price, but I’ll PM his No. if your interested, If not .I think the saw mill Steve’s talking about is in Coney Western, funnily enough next to the carvers that feature in the tree sculptor thread
  2. You guy’s should have come along to the EA get together at Weird and Wonderful Wood. all these guys were there including the one who makes the tables. Maybe next year, just make sure you bring plenty of cash if you want to by one, don’t think they’re cheap
  3. Your right Mick, As Cerne will tell you , I completely diced my Levis on that oak, if I was up there any longer I’d have been climbing in my pants.
  4. I worked for one utility contractor that insisted on full chainsaw jackets when working from a mewp, serious nightmare on hot, sunny days, good way of losing weight though! I’ll try getting permission for the one at Shubllands this week, It shouldn’t be a problem as a lot of guys already use it for training, maybe go after work sometime? better to tackle that, before moving onto the mutated…I mean monster pines of Sizewell:001_tongue:
  5. [quote name=josharb87;138351 i know of some monster spready Pines with sea views you can climb if you ever go near sizewell mate' date=' something different![/quote] A day at the sea side sounds good Josh, maybe stop in Southwold, for an Adnams, along the way,. just hope we don’t get mistaken for protesters and get are gear taken off us:001_tongue:
  6. No worries mate, anytime, just give me a buzz Maybe try the Cedar at Shublands next time:thumbup1:
  7. God I hate seeing photos of myself Cerne , I ‘m sure your Camera has distorted my head on N0 6 (at least I hope it has) Here’s a few more that I took.
  8. Get a few, a bit odd as utility work needs doing anyway. A while ago we went to a complaint job, to clear up some brash that had been left at customers house. Got there and he’d dragged it all a couple of hundred yards, up his garden, to the gate then stacked neatly , nice enough , even nicer considering he was in plaster with a broken leg! we chipped it and he still gave us a ten spot, tried to decline but he wasn’t having it Other than that. A little bit of cash now and again, cakes sausages, eggs, beer bottle of whisky. one of my mates was even given a live chicken. Gotta love suffolk:001_tongue:
  9. well, maybe next year:001_tongue:
  10. Almost forgot this one!
  11. Aright Cerne, was wondering if your up for a rec climb sometime over the long weekend?

  12. Just like to say thanks to all who turned up was good to meet you and hope you enjoyed the show. No need for a prize Andy. what I learnt from watching the speed climb and having a go myself was priceless, plus I got a piece of “rocking horse s…. “from steve for retrieving the stuff, nice pics Cern:thumbup1: here's some I took
  13. You could rename the thread, Stretch air vs. Ryan air?
  14. 2 leg lengths I believe, standard and plus 7cm I have the latter as I’m also a L.S.O P , stretch airs are quite a bit heavier than high flex, but a lot more robust, also find them a bit hotter in summer even though they made from a material apparently derived from coconut husk, supposed to make them cooler and less smelly, does seem to work a bit, still smell like a wet dog when it rains but not half as much as the old green sip ones I used to own
  15. Same here. I kinda make it up as I go along, Climbed on a weaver with a blakes for years and was happy with it, then when looking for a new harness , I discovered this site and my life got a whole more complicated. I now use a TM with hitch climber vt. Setup or a lock jack depending on which way my ropes in the bag +pantin, kong if I have foot lock. , 27m Yale fire New England side strop, with marlo hitch cord, pulley, and sometimes cambium saver All colour coordinated of course:001_tongue: Still get the blakes and Gecko out when it’s raining / conifer Or if im hung-over, I use a hoist
  16. hate them because they gunk up everything they touch ,itchy and they always ping the elastic on my tree motion, but mustn’t grumbles they’re 90% of work I seem to get at the mo (doing one tomorrow as well as about 200m last weekend)
  17. Is armour prus available in the uk yet?
  18. are you still on for this steve?
  19. NZ has the best Pies in the world IMO, mayb they're worried she’d eat them all
  20. Could be the same knot with some serious tails. Looks like a good way to negotiate the stairs on a Friday night:001_smile:
  21. There’s a nice photo on the Capel 09 thread, after all boozing ones:001_tongue:
  22. Not sure about reduction . my guess is that the branch got damaged sometime over the winter, probably from heavy snow (gets pretty bad in Kyoto) they pruned it back so it looks better for Sakura , but leavening a stump so that disease didn’t get in to the branch below, they’ll probably prune it back further at a better time of year, but that’s only a guess, what u think? Like what you did with the oak on the other thread, very Zen, the Japanese would have done exactly the same thing IMO, anything old over there is pretty much considered a god..
  23. At the firm I work for we are told not to fill the buck of the Transits beyond about a ¼ not sure of the wieght but most people abide by this. funny as nobody has an issue with filling them to the brim with firewood
  24. LSD

    drt

When your talking about double crotching , is that on 1 line i.e. some sort of M/V redirect or climbing on 2 mainlines?
  25. one more of Sakura
