  1. A few course providers listed here Woodland Craft Courses: Learn traditional green wood working skills but it looks like you would need to travel.
  2. What's up with the iron sights?
  3. No. The butterfly offspring are murdering my sprouts!
  4. Just how much tomato soup can anyone stand?
  5. I had a solar guy stood in my garden using an iPhone compass. He insisted that due West was South. He was not going to be swayed even when pointing out the position of the sun, next door's weather vane and the orientation of the nearby church and so we quickly parted company. Blind faith is a dangerous thing.
  6. Ahhh. Thanks
  7. I am missing something here.... why only burn pallets marked HT? I understood it to mean that the pallet (on its first run) was free from creepy crawlies and suitable to go through the more diligent country's customs. What does it signify when burning it? Sorry if I have missed the obvious.
  8. I had a FAC Mk 1 Rapid 7 when I helped out with the pest control on an airfield. It was just fantastic for rabbits. Far better than a rimfire as it was so quite you could get a few shots off before they took off.
  9. David, I have used Welcome to Forestart - The premier suppliers of quality tree and shrub seed in Britain for many years for a variety of seeds. Top service.

  12. Wait 4 to 12 weeks - it is worth it. There is a very good reason that finding a 2nd hand one is like finding rocking horse plop

  14. Keep it - the odd fine example of why forum rules are needed is not a bad thing although I am embarrassed that a customer is seeing all this bickering.
  15. It's true and very easily done. The strap needs to be hooked onto the hook but this is hard work when you are loading up single handed. The temptation is to hang the strap off the ifor hook but this then spreads the strap hook ends when you lace it up. I think they did used to be welded but most of my new ones aren't. For anything like this load I would much prefer to strap off the trailer chassis rather than the Ifor hooks.
  16. Brave man that takes that gamble.
  17. Paul, You seem to be on top of current pricing. Have you by any chance worked out the fully loaded cost per sq ft? The reason I ask is that someone has asked to site a 20ft shipping container and it would be a good starting point. I know I should work it out myself but I haven't got a big enough tape measure.
  18. Good idea. Please let us know how it goes and some photos.
  19. Slight derail but please let me have my rant.... We have had a surge in problems with unauthorised campers in the area. This morning I drove past them setting up camp on a friends yard having removed the gates. The good news was that less than 50 yards away from the mayhem that was breaking out was a marked police car. The bad news was that rather than keeping an eye on developments until re-enforcements came he was concentrating hard on his speed camera pointed out of the drivers window and would not get involved. Latest development is that my friend has been stopped from tipping 20 tonnes of hardcore in the gateway (two hours notice given) by the police as it would prevent the emergency services from reaching the campsite. They have also confirmed they will not take any action on the unauthorised removal or damage to the gates. It also turns out that the council have used ratepayers money to evict them from council land but won't help at all getting them to move on now that they are on private land. This is just so wrong.

  21. See Yellow Pages To Die Out In Online Shake-Up - Yahoo! UK & Ireland Finance How will this hit / hurt your business?
  22. Crickey - a big haul that really must hurt. I know people keep their eyes peeled after such events but has anyone ever been caught selling them on?
  23. Cost a fortune to replace the auto box when it failed pulling a 12t 360. First 5 miles were a dream to be fair.
