  1. Based in South Pembrokeshire, i am in need of help. My work is varied, a mixture of forestry and domestic tree surgery. You will need to enjoy working in often dreadful ground conditions. Experience would be good, but i am equally willing to provide on the job training, to get you up to a high level of competence, if you have none. I can also put you in touch with 2 other tree companies, which can potentially give you 5 days of work. Give us a tinkle 07966 792798
  2. The different lengths that the log chomper produces can be a pain, the longer ones only fit diagonally in my Rayburn, and they burn much faster than conventional logs. The next batch to go through the log chomper, i am going to be a bit fussier.
  3. I had no issues with drying in vented barrow bags. Easy enough to move around with a sack truck.
  4. What wrong with Botex?

  6. You are doing better than me. Exchange a subscribe for a subscribe ?
  7. I've got about 6 beech planks that are 2" thick, about 20" wide, and 10' long, if you fancy a trip to Pembrokeshire.
  8. A 8 tonne digger with grab will handle all the timber, and be able to sort it. How will you get it to trackside for lorry uplift? What it is the quality of the timber like? Saw logs will get you the biggest return, but until they are felled you wont know the quality. Extraction distance is the killer, Monkeybusiness's point about working from the furthest point is a good one. Do you have access to reliable cutters that can work to your spec. Do you have financial reserves to last a couple of months before the money starts to come in.
  9. Wot be that?
  10. 99 times out of a 100, you are right. But the 1 time a device makes all the difference.
  11. It doesn't matter what species, split and seasoned those logs will keep you warm.
  12. Those GRX grabs are a formidable bit of kit.
  13. What is the small black one below the lung wort?
  14. Those bell chockers are not very good on small diameter wood, they have an annoying tendency to slip off. But they are much easier to unchock when you have pulled down a load of bramble with the timber.
  15. Having this at the end of the valley where we are working, was too good to miss. #Dullasditchwater
  16. £50-£70 roadside plus transport. If transport is more than £40 per tonne, then it is too far away. Do you have any forestry companies near you, try them first.
  17. Are there still the massive Elm trees near Brighton pavilion ?
  18. Sharpham Rustic, full fat Jersey milk, oh yeah. Or Caws Teifi Saval, rind washed caerphilly ,stinky but not overpowering like Stinking Bishop
  19. I've just had a felling licence granted for 12m3
  20. Just over tick over
  21. Its the Super Bullet Superbullet | Logbullet WWW.LOGBULLET.COM
  22. Good use of redirects, good vids.
  23. Aahh lightweight, coming on here with your cab with heater and air con. And you have the cheek to call us southerners Soft.
  24. It will be fine, there is a tractor and log bullet under this tree.
  25. Monterey cypress scruffy nature definitely holds itself together better with its tangled mass of deadwood and half snapped branches. As soon as you remove one another appears, so i have stopped removing them .
