  6. My door seals leak and I get a wet leg when the heavens open . Two years ago the gaps where that bad around the doors I actually woke up to a mini snow drift in my landy . On the other hand she'll pull up conifer stumps all day drag the chipper and trailer to the moon and back . Everytime she gets scratched and dented it just adds character
  7. Yeah they grip brill . The only problem I had is when I did them I didn't have time to do serrated edging for every blade . So I alternated them . Basically a hit one miss one principle was used . I,m going to do the others with a serrated blade when I get chance . Vast improvement though:thumbup:
  8. INCOMING TAKE COVER .
  9. I always inform the local council that I will d wooding etc. Just so they know the score . It always helps to have a good relationship with the local TPO Officer . Failing that I just put my ear defenders down and play dumb

  15. If he's got a new 20k hilux I,m sure he can work out the basic needs of a business . Cool I should be asking Joe for advice
  16. No disrespect intended That would be crazy . How many of us started off with a 20k vehicle without first testing the water's . If Joe really want's to do this kind of work I,m sure he'll find a way . I think he's doing the right thing by asking on here first . Get some basic training couple of saws's and off you go and earn some dollars . Don't let all these crazy figures frighten you off your dream
  17. I ,m with you on this swinny Start up 10k is still a fair chunk in today's climate To be fair he could start with less than 10k . I did 4 years with no chipper
  18. Sorry to hear this . Nominate 1 keyholder for the main entrance . Do you run chains through your saw handles at night ? I've recently taken to putting my saws in a caged container of an evening with a chain running through the handle.

  20. You need something like Extenda Leg . Google them
  21. I had a wheel clamp and a hitch lock fitted to my 10x6 Ifor flatbed and it still got stolen . You cannot be to careful . I now find that ground anchors and hitch locks and wheel clamps to be effective when you weld / strengthen and fabricate them to suit your needs . Hope all is well at your end Lorry
