  1. Some good comments on here . I often wonder about your mental state Liam . Just remember freeze the bodies before chopping up ,that way you make less mess . You probably know that with you being a pro and all:001_tt2:
  2. I was thinking of getting some hooded tops printed up . Our sweaters are now getting a bit tatty . So just thought any of you guys gals had any printed up . Was thinking dark green with the words TREE WORK on the back of the hoodie written in orange . Obviously below the hood . Not having company name as we still do a bit of subbing .

  8. All our quotes stand for 12 months with the exception of Conifers and dangerous trees Like Sky huck says most of our quotes are also verbal . Irrate I know I may sound it but trust me I,m really chilled . Arbtalk just helps me let out a little steam .Oh and the punch bag does help but only cause it doesnt hit back
  9. Yes a good tip . Thanks for sharing john:biggrin: I,m going to add this as standard to my quotation format . Oh Stevie I slipped up what can I say .A bit of banter on site yesterday explaining my veiws on the subject seemed to do the trick . Oh and cleaning chainsaw dust off gravel still sucks . Altough its tidy now and where both happy . And his missus gave us some battenburg cake lovely jubbly .
  10. Ha ha just finished the birch . Yes I was a tad upset yesterday . Any way that customer turned out to be a friendly guy . After both sleeping and dwelling on the subject . We turned up this morning to a smiling customer who then offered me £50 for the extra time which I accepted .Obviously on site yesterday the haggling over the extra dollars was all fun and jokes . Having seen all the trouble we went to yesterday to avoid damage to anything . He realised the extra work involved was indeed worth a slightly higher end fee . Thanks for all your veiws / comments . I also believe a price is a price and you should stick to your guns . Although when things change that affect the job site a new price should be agreed before work commences . After all this was out of my control .

  12. Work or play climbing alone is something I,m personally cool with . Know your limits . Do as I say not as I do kinda thing . I know its wrong in the professional world but I,m sure everyones done it at one point . When I say alone I mean no other climbers on site . Always with a second party be it friend worker or customer .

  16. We priced for a Silver Birch removal 10 months ago . Today we finally got to do the job . On arrival all was well until I saw that the rear garden had been completely landscaped . Now instead of a large lawned area there was gravel raised flower beds and ornate metal frames for climbing plants to grow on ?. Not to mention the little pond and a chicken run at the bottom of the garden. This was the reason for the customer taking so long to give the go ahead .Anyway I explained that the job would take a lot longer as when we priced it all the rear garden was lawn no targets plenty of access . Got all brash off today chipped removed and some timber . Have to go back tomorrow to chog down the timber in small discs .I thought an extra £ 100would be a fair amount considering extra time on site . Hes moaning . I know I should of given a new price before we started. The goon tryed to give me a twenty quid note I dont think so . See what happens tomorrow . Bang goes the no work on Saturday rule
