  1. Apparently. Friend told me.
  2. The best bit is sitting round the fire 12 cans in burning your £250 boots kicking in at 10pm.
  3. That’s good food for thought. Chipping is usually quicker, but fire is sometimes still the way forward. With diseased stuff even more so I would think.
  4. You’re sane mate. Americans aren’t.
  5. Can’t beat a good burn. Sadly seems to be a dying part of our trade.
  6. Good chipper. What’s it like on diesel?
  7. You do realise that 4-mix are still 2 stroke?
  8. The saw is only as good as the man behind it. Use what’s best for you. Peace.
  9. As Matt says, that speaks volumes. Don’t worry about the homo thing mate, I’ve got loads of Makita kit as well. I’m trisexual.
  10. But the 151 is lighter?
  11. It doesn’t have the same power, it’s far weaker in the cut. It’s not a better saw. It wasn’t actually marketed very aggressively, some of us non-brand junkies just accepted it as a better product. You should actually try one. ’32 years in the industry’ blah blah blah. I know loads of old hacks who have been spouting shite for 32 years. Does that make you right? You insisted the 151 is a lighter saw, fully loaded. I called your bullshit and you simply ignored it and moved on. You stick to your 151. You must earn hourly rate.
  12. 18cc instead of 25. Probably cuts like a 151.
  13. You are. Think how good you could be with an Echo….
  14. Yes, I deliberately chose it because of it’s poor performance compared to the mighty Stihl. Funny how none of the good climbers on here haven’t upgraded from Echo to Stihl really.
  15. They are lighter than the Stihl as well…. Fully fuelled. And filthy.
  16. They do look toy-like. I thought it was a bit of a joke when it turned up. They are amazingly robust in use though. I’ve had to replace a broken exhaust cover, and top plate which I lost on my last ever I swear to God conny hedge reduction. That’s far less than I ever had to do with my 200T!
  17. My first Echo still runs as well Rich. The retune problems have been sorted with the second generation carbs. Having to basically port a saw and void the warranty doesn’t say a lot about the quality of the original, does it? You really should try an Echo some day.
  18. Any one you buy new now should be good. It will have an ‘X’ under Echo on the recoil cover.
  19. T525 never quite did it for me. Not really a tiny topper or a full fat takedown saw. You’d need a 5m strop to swing a saw away from your trousers anyway.
  20. 13”? Are you American?
  21. The Stihl takes 50ml less in both petrol and oil tanks, so that’s 100ml. Not going to be lighter with the same bar and chain when the dry weight is 0.3kg more is it? Poppet.
  22. Nice dog. It’s pretty obvious you’ve never owned a 2511.
