  1. It’s not simple. Proof of competency doesn’t necessarily come on a piece of paper, certainly not legally so.
  2. Does anyone care what the countryside would look like if every farmer just said ‘Bollocks to this, I’m selling up and moving to Spain’?
  3. Which I zipped myself into, obviously....
  4. I don’t think the problem is politics, it’s politicians. I’m pretty easy going on site, but I can’t think of many politicians who I could get through a day’s work with without physically assaulting them.
  5. Bring them over and say hi Mick. I’m slumped over the bar at the end near the fire chatting up the slutty looking jailbait barmaid.
  6. ? Pro tip that! One of my best customers has a monster conny hedge that we have over several years got under control (if you met his neighbours you would forgive him). It’s now an annual cut with hedgecutters, but still a mission. He calls me every autumn and the excuses I’ve used so far range from a gender alteration operation, I’ve moved to Indonesia and even that I’ve died. It’s an annual game we both enjoy.
  7. The mind is willing mate, but the vino is strong in this one tonight!
  8. Moderators are very much like chainbrake bands. Test them too often at extreme limits and they will eventually break, and you will need new ones.
  9. There’s got to be a ‘hip replacement’ gag in there somewhere Gary.
  10. Definitely Wes. I owe Reg more than a few pints. I’ve often watched one of his vids the night before a monster takedown I’ve been dreading and you get to the job and it’s 50 foot baby piss.
  11. Big top that Don. Even bigger thumb!
  12. Policeman’s dads look younger than you.
  13. To alter the shape of a tree with a linear crown reduction could be £600. To alter the morphology of a tree with the same linear crown reduction would be £1500. Does that sound about right Gary?
  14. Topping a multi-stemmed holm oak today. There is no other word for it, but for a very aware customer. Home in time for the hard part of the day.
  15. A lot will depend on the road, and the steepness of the hill. Can you get some pics?
  16. That’s a scandalous accusation Git. 2-up in the cab + dog and tools and I’ve still got a whopping 650kg to play with. I reckon I’m good for a couple of cube of wet chip.
