  1. They actually used to charge for it, now it's free. There's a first time for everything!
  2. Tragic. All I can offer is get into the habit of tucking your chin into your chest when you're cutting. I'm pretty good at not one-handing, but sometimes needs must when the devil drives.
  3. All there mate. Bridge rings are extremely well made, you could tow with them. Skyland. Skyland. Skyland.
  4. 3 different climbs today. Hornbeam, euc and conny. Very pleased so far. I didn't notice the harness at all, which is good news for me.
  5. My mates mam had one and virtually had to tow a diesel bowser with her.
  6. Koala is a bit of a weird name choice really. Have you seen how active they are in a tree? Very apt, tbh.
  7. The slippers are a must Darrin. I'll just use my old longboard if I need to add the seat option.
  8. It also feels very streamlined on, really nice small side-D's. I didn't knock anything off the shelves when I walked through the shop earlier.
  9. It's here. Top service and advice from the Skyland boys again. First impressions are good, very light, feels about the same as the Sequoia. Love the positive, simple metal buckles, very quick on and off. I've only worn it indoors and haven't had a hang in it yet, but it feels very comfy. The bridge looks disturbingly skinny, and I haven't fitted a ring yet. The leg loops are considerably wider, and should be really comfy IF I set it up right. There are options for adjustment everywhere, and plenty of gear loops. I'll report more as I go.
  10. Good save in the circumstances. What was Newton doing on your patch anyway?
  11. I meant girdling the stem, 9 boards up.
  12. Also looks like there's wire in the left hand stem.
  13. I'm just gutted that we won't have any more Champions League matches to look forward to.
  14. I have tried the Bone, and it might actually be a good choice, but the fanny-on with getting hold of one put me off a bit. The ZZ-RW combo is far from ideal, but does let me switch when it suits. Fredward, I totally get what you're saying, but I just don't really get involved in climbs like that anymore.
  15. No. It's not like I decide to attach it during a climb? I kind of need it for the whole climb. The Ropewrench goes off and on sometimes, but the ZZ lives on my line.
  16. Nothing sweeter than a dialled-in VT, but it is more temperamental than a woman. After years of putting it off I bought a ZZ and it just works like a perfect VT, every time, straight out of the box. SRT mostly these days, with a Wrench (don't tell Petzl), but still plenty Ddrt when the job suits.
  17. Sorry Bill, will do. I was busy editing!
  18. Just ordered the Courant Koala. I will compile a detailed report. If you don't hear from me the bridge has snapped and I've died.
  19. I've shown this to Ruth. She did cry for a bit while I reassured her that I found experience more of a turn-on than looks, but I don't know, she can hear so little these days. She did point out that she doesn't spell 'and' as 'any'. Thank God for the Arbtalk Braille app.
