  1. I’ll probably just doss down with you boys then John. Al Mondz and I look like twins.
  2. 5am on Sunday is even harder.
  3. All too common. It’s often said that many successful multi-millionaire business people were declared bankrupt at an early stage in their career. I assume they always go back and pay the poor bastards they shafted on their journey to the top? My mate had a £10.5k cheque bounce yesterday for a big industrial poplar job. He’s worried. They should actually be more worried because he won’t be going down any legal route.
  4. Thanks Sean. Now I'm torn. It has turned my phone into Arbtalk, where it doesn't automatically put a capital at the start of a new sentence or paragraph. you know what I mean.
  5. I know what I'd give him, the whining prick.
  6. A true tragedy. Is there a ‘Justgiving’ page? I’d like to help.
  7. I’m not cutting-edge or intelligent enough to move to the dark side.
  8. I haven't got a problem with IPhone being capitalists, I have a problem with them being CAPITALISATIONISTS! Why when I type certain names does it always bloody put them in BLOCK CAPITALS, unless I manually stop it doing it? Not all names, either. How can I stop it? It's very annoying. Why would I want to always have a person's name in capitals?
  9. Just stick a Landrover badge on the back. That would also have the advantage of instantly making it worth £10k more.
  10. Just checked. 5 years and unlimited mileage! Wouldn't fancy buying one afterwards, mind!
  11. Don't they give a ridiculous warranty though?
  12. Coming over here, taking all our carbon dioxide....
  13. That’s shocking. Now will you listen Mark?
  14. Top banana Conor. Looked a gnarly bitch of a tree.
  15. No mate, switching between SRT and Ddrt. It is possible now, but it is a pita.
  16. Because my Cougar Puke is fluffy as hell now and I cba to retie a VT or thread a ZZ through every other climb. The gear basically just lives on the rope. A new full fat Cougar Blue wouldn't hurt.
  17. I bet you were Tony! Cheeky buggers!
  18. I wonder where Notch came up with the idea from?
  19. If that tree is 5-6' diameter and the rootball ends up in the stream you will be looking at probably more than a morning's work! Get a pro to look at it. You obviously haven't found one yet.
  20. Your tether might be a bit floppy mate, but let me know how that works. I’m thinking of going back to a VT for ease of changeover, and using the ZZ for Ddrt only. That means buying a new rope.
  21. Me and my crew can do any tree on the planet in a day for $500 wise guy, and if you want to argue I can threaten you for at least 40 comments.
  22. High Explosive. That would be fine, I’m sure James, with relevant signage. And NPTC ‘Use of HE with intent to dismember thieves’ certification, obviously.
  23. Exactly. You know those jobs where you rock up with all the kit and it’s been an awkward one to price because you know that you’ll be done by 2.30 so you price it for a day and get it anyway? Then the neighbour comes out and asks about a small conny fell that would normally be £200. ’£150 if we do it right now.’ ’Great!’ Kerrching! You win, the neighbour wins, we all win! The NHS wins, the government wins, the country wins! Hurrah! Making efficient use of available resources. It’s a winner for everyone!
