  8. Know where yer comin from matt!It's one thing being quoted?given a good price at roadside but another thing actually recieving payment,can sometimes be slow depending on who your dealing with.
  9. That was a big job with prob about 3 artic load of hardwood which i would not have been able to handle without the valmet combo,it's a godsend.beats ringing everything too on other jobs where access permits.
  10. Bought 2 18'' for my 372.Nothing in it i'd say.The rails seem to last quite well and they have replaceable nose anyway.

  13. Small ads are good,worked for us.Tried a bigger one for a start,waste of money.Two disadvantages,don't know if it's jist up here but YP or phone book work is always quote against 2 others and i'm fed up of cold callers phoning me at work because they fonnd the number in the YP or PBk.
  14. That's a bit poor,gettin £32 at roadside for our hardwood jist now.Better than £25 last year.
  15. Here's a few pics from todays job.Ded elm,the lean is actually worse than it looks over a loch.Couldn't reach with MEWP so had to do it the old fashioned way.Actually felt happier on the rpoe and hareness before a debate gets up.
  16. Started with bone dry norway spruce then dry beech and oak.Our fire is always usually on,adds to the ambiance:001_cool:

  23. 395 with 28'',great for cutting big rings into 4,6 or 8's.Doesn't choke with big sawdust like the smaller saws.
  24. Kind of,but usually it's the client that has to do the waiting after we've cut all that we can and dewlly left the rest to them.
  25. Yes been there too.Sounds like you've not put it back together properly.It's a bit fiddly,hit or miss basically.
