  1. I sincerely apologise, as I thought that the 150 was over 750kgs,and more like 1200kgs. Looks like i didn't do my homework first.
  2. Orange plant doing Greenmech and Green plant doing Timberwolfs??? something fishy here!!!!
  3. One thing that worries me is that with the new legislation being a 750kg weight limit how are you managing to save weight? Are you using a thinner steel? lightweight bearings? more plastic? I would worry that all these chippers that are sub 750kg are made down to a spec and are not going to last in the long term. Take for instance the Vermeer 625, I have one of these and the thing is 15 years old and bomb proof. Yes i have replaced the engine but things like the bearings are so over engineered and the steel is nice and thick so it lasts forever. I doubt that these new chippers will still be around in 15 years time. And if these chippers are so well made why didn't you make them lightweight before the new legislation?
  4. Anyone have any thoughts on them and what cost they are? Thanks
  5. Yes I know about those two places but i was offering the job out to anyone on here first.
  6. Interesting thread. I have a 2001 625 petrol engine and that is single roller and its never really caused us any problems, in fact the thing is so bomb proof that it needs very little maintenance really only 2 grease nipples and that's about it. Yes it has problems with forked stuff but that's what a chipper saw is for. However.... I want one!!! I would like to trade mine in but I would need to get a folding/ shorter draw-bar as it just wont fit in my garage, the 625 only just fits!! I know that Thorne engineers have a reconditioned one for £10,000 plus vat. which is maybe a bit steep but it is fully reconditioned. Anyone seen any others for sale??
  7. Just ordered one last night along with 2 sets of stones. hope its as good as everybody says!!
  8. one thing I would do is if you are asking for help then leaving it two months to answer and then sending me a PM saying "a up mate were abouts in cannock are you" will not get any help from me. Sorry but I think manners don`t cost anything but if you are talking to a potential employer you should talk to them in a professional manner. I have too many (usually young people) phoning me up asking "`ave you got any jobs?" and it`s now got to the point when I can`t be bothered to explain that you should ask in a sensible way.
  9. One customer gave me a set of golf clubs which I sold on ebay. The usual beer, wine that sort of stuff. One gives me a load of home grown veggies when we drop her some logs.
  10. Hi How far are you willing to travel? I have my own company in Cannock.
  11. Unfortunatly CATS being nicked from 4X4s are no new thing. Access is very easy with them.
  12. Yeah Ill be intrested. Based in Cannock but starting to do jobs in Wolverhampton so could do with a chip site nearer to jobs. Already chipped up but how about logs? Do you want them too? As I give all my logs away, always have done always will do. Can`t be bothered logging them up and too many people doing that now anyway. Go a quote to do in bilston on Friday and you are just round the corner too!!! Simon
  13. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_k1lAf_V5Uk]Strap on a Wraptor - with the Wraptor Girls - YouTube[/ame] one of the funniest vids i have seen in ages!!! not a bad bit of kit though but at $2500 its a bit steep!!!
  14. as Jesus says "Let`s get the flock out of here" About an attractive over-weight girl "more cushion for the pushing" as my oppo always says. when covered in dust ..the usual.... "can you blow me off!!" and like someone has already said "can you put it back up?" another one.. "does your kettle work?"........."two teas please both with 2 sugars" "The sawdust will rot down within 2 weeks" "conifer burns really well on your open fire" "want any woodchip/logs?" "can you just chip up this brash for me as your here?" Customers neighbour with a garden full of connie brash they did over the weekend!!!! Customers phoning up and asking "how much to fell a tree???"....Me.."anywhere between £50 and £1500." Famous Lies.....The check is in the post, and I wont cum in your mouth.........cracks me up every time!!!lol

  23. I have spoken to the owners of springslade lodge and got some fairly good prices from them for arbtalk members, however I have also spoken to my friend and he is ok about people camping in his woods however it is overgrown so you would need to flatten the weeds down but it is free and you can have a camp fire. Also excessive drinking is allowed if he is invited!!!! He`s doing it as a favour to me, so he only stipulates that it is left tidy and all rubbish cleared away. PM me for details
