  2. A year ago i would have said,"Yes" Andy.....but i left that all behind me in London... i am simply very happy with my Teufelberger Pulley saver! it is a pleasure and a peice of cake to move up a rope on it...absolutely effortless:001_smile:

Thunderbird 4 Review:lol: i really ,really like this free gift from ApBell..it will be of great use as a Chargehand/foreman helmet in a role i have decided i should like to carve out for myself...it,s the right colour and i am completely taken by the Thunderbird 4 on the back:thumbup: it is FAR more comfortable than a Petzel Vertex Vent and the homemade headband reinforcment is comfortable if a bit Smelly:lol: tommorow it gets a jetwash and the headband and sponge from the ear defenders are going in the wash...but apart from that i am delighted with it! I have personalised it with a Teufelberger sticker on the front....Thanks again....

Did you say he built the trailer from an old articulated?.....Lewis,very interesting to hear that your Father is the Head man there...A very special place...next time i,m down there meet me and Marc and Jamie up at the Antelope and we can arrange a tour around the place yeah? What about a reccy climb?? In your Avatar how tall was the tree? largest on the estate did you say?

  13. Two nice suprises today!.. Marc,s daughter Harper (Who is a big fan of ancient Egypt) gave me a card when i left and i opened it today...the Chillies are from Marc,s wife from their garden...the card and message had a lot of thought put into it...Thanks Harper! And "APBell" on Arbtalk had offered a Petzel Erin Roc to whoever wanted it....i need a Groundsman,s Helmet and said i,d like it and it arrived today....I like it a lot:thumbup1: Thank,s Mate:biggrin: The number refers to Thunderbirds he said and i shall keep it on...Very cool:001_cool:

Cheers lad!...Hazelwotsit Bryan is a beautiful place for sure as is the whole of Dorset...Stayed near Poole when i was working with Yaffle trees and had a couple of days in Wraxhall....Britain has some jaw droppingly beautiful locations! and yes.. i do my job for the love of Trees and wood....the money is just a bonus:001_smile:

Spent today with Marc and his tribe at a place near Gillingham..i can,t remember it,s name but it,s famous for it,s Trees,land and follys and with a remarkable "Grotto" which contains a Spring from which begins the River "Stower"?? (Have i spelt that right?) begins!!.as i had drank my bottle of Dog(Newcastle brown ale) i had an empty vessel to try some of this enchanted water:001_rolleyes:.i shall just put a few of the pictures up and say that it Made my visit complete...Astonishing 400 year old sweet chestnuts..one showing some sort of Phoenix regeneration...a HUGE Cypruss made up of many HUGE Boughs. A Massive tulip tree...Some very very VERY tall trees and armed with a couple of bottles of Newcastle brown ale some Tuna and onion sarnies and some Chardonnay for Sarah me and marc put on our Airstreams and with the prospect of Meeting some Remarkable trees, these two Arboricultural Amigo,s entered a wonderful world:001_smile::001_smile: Thanks Marc ,Sarah,Sonny and of course the ever inquisitive Harper! Friends for life....See you soon Marc! Awsome time:001_smile:

Hey Big Jon! yes it,s the Lewis family and they made me feel right at home and were delightful company today! i,m just doing some munchies as a midnight snack as i am having a lie in Tommorow and a day in Kew...Tired mate....wait till you see the pictures from today...you and Ranger Matt were missed last night....brought some bicycle clips for you both! :lol:

Woke up with no idea where i was...:confused1: all i could see were huge ,thick old Beams above me...limed walls several inches thick...small alcoves...pictures of Sublime torso,s carved in wood...almost lifelike:thumbup: then i remembered:001_rolleyes: i was in the rennovated cottage! i have seen million pound homes in Chelsea,Richmond and Kingston but nothing quite as beautiful and organic as this dwelling i could see all around me....BREATHTAKING attention to detail and just lashings of huge peices of wood everywhere.....Outstanding...enjoyed bacon and sausage butties supplied by Jamie,s missus coffee then we said our goodbyes and head off to spend the day with Marc,s wonderful familly...:thumbup: Pictures to follow...just got to make a coffee and some pea and ham soup before the final installment .......back in a Mo! Don,t go away:001_rolleyes:
