  1. EVERYBODY WELCOME! for this end of year celebration at this 200 year old cider house one of only 11 in the country without a bar....just like olden days! A tap room instead...Meet old friends....and make some new ones! Come on! you know you want to!
  2. I just got sick of things snagging...or catching...however rare i just knew the easiest way to eliminate it was plastic and orange and right under my nose! The scabbard:cool: because i am now well away from production tree work i have time to do things at a more gentle and smooth pace:)
  3. Scabbard is clipped on to my harness...i only holster it when moving to a work position or swinging...caritool the saw...wack on the scabbard and climb or swing or descend....no big deal...
  4. The guide bar never catches my rope on the way up...i never notice i,m carrying it..it,s like holstering a weapon:001_smile: takes seconds to do and makes life easier:thumbup: horses for courses...i like an easy life these days and the way i climb and work now is the most economical and energy saving i have ever worked...without any drama
  5. Stumpgrinding course today so while we were waiting for the assesor to arrive we sorted out the Container of Shiney things...we began the course with a couple of hours going through legislation and theory which i didn,t mind...i value the tickets i have achieved and this is just another valuable ticket:001_smile: then of to Gunnersbury Park for some practical stuff...assesment on thursday....in the meantime...Buxtons tommorow and our first new Groundie:biggrin:

  7. A very COLD Good morning in Arbtalkland...a fun packed week begins...off to the Coffee Pot for brekkie soon. Then meet up with the team. We have a stumpgrinding course today. always enjoy assesments When i joined the company i missed the Wage cut off point for the month and also have to do a month lying on:001_huh: so it,s been a while since i had any money but that,s never stopped me before has it:001_rolleyes: So yesterday i had the chance to earn some sheckles and fill the fridge with food! a simple crown lift...and G.P on a neighbours small tree...their cat was attracted by the Colour of my rope methinks:biggrin: i love cats...Keep warm out there Arbtalkers! it,s a cold start!

I,ve even started having my saw sent up with the scabbard on...i take the scabbard off when it arrives and slot it into the back of my harness...it,s just a snag free way of working...the older i get the more efficient i have become...Spiderjack pulley saver Big shot ,Caritool....Scabbard etc....it,s how i roll:biggrin:

  14. JB is one of the nicest blokes i have ever met and i have had the very great pleasure to work with and indeed used that Ported 440 in a takedown.,i really REALLY hope we get some leads in the recovery of all or at least some of his property...the lads a diamond:thumbup1:
