I would seriously look into the "easy lift" it takes away the effect of gravity! Until then, for higher stuff get your harness on, get a solid work position and practice some good ol' tree surgery.
  2. So glad to hear that Andy! Remember I used to cycle everywhere...since I got my pick up I've been on it twice!! Now I have a new direction I shall take it up again only far more intensely...until then my change in eating and drinking habits are making a rapid difference..
  3. Time to get on the Scales.
  4. Ok...as I said I seem to be requiring less sleep since altering my intake and my energy levels are going through the roof! No pies, pastries booze or crap for a while now. My mood has also altered drastically. Was very sad for a few months because of the break up with ne and Mrs Fox (alcohol only magnified that) and gorging on large ammounrs of food left me feeling lathargic....now I'm taking the dog longer walks...running! (I've never ever ran) so clear headed and just so happy! Even singing in the shower:D
  5. Yeah sorry Chris just seen your posts at 4 a.m this morning.since altering my lifestyle I'm either asleep early or very late but seem to be waking 3, 4 or 5 a.m fit as a fiddle! All the relevent info is available via council websites and Town Hall etc... I'm no good on facts and figures. I just know its near the university buildings and a nice woman from the commitee met me there with some of her volenteers...we had a nice chat and a coffee and gave the findings to my boss....will keep you informed (if I'm not asleep)
  6. I never tire of watching your stuff Reg..you are so consistent. And I always watch in HD.
  7. You will. The camping chair you gave me at the APF Collapsed on me the other day! I think you must have weakened it:p
  8. What a Buzz Jesse! Could you feel the down draft of the helicopter much? Can't wait to see more.
  9. There was a thread similar to this a while back...ideally it would be great to climb any tree you wanted providing you didn't dammage it or risk any other person around being affected...climbing trees was part of our evolution.

Good morning Orchard..you still awake? Power pruners are often a part of a tree teams kit...especially good for crown lifts or tipping back of smaller trees or where a lot of trees are growing in a row. The cutter can walk along quickly trimming one by one with a team mate following him chipping up.certainly not a replacement for a climber they can be very useful. To ease the weight of them you could attatch them to an easy lift harness and save your arms, back and shoulders...they are great (when reachable) for cutting tips away from street furniture etc...if you can afford one...get one! See you when you come to Durham Orchard:)
  13. Phew! Made it home safe WITHOUT the game:D "Behold, the scales of truth!"
  14. On a "Lighter" note....remember I started my day buzzin about the fact I was going to buy my copy of Advanced Warfare? Oh the hours I could waste away! Sat motionless staring for hours at the glorious graphics, emersed in realistic gameplay! WHAT!!! and undo the progress I have made in the last 2 weeks.....no way.....not yet...it can wait until Xmas!!! To celebrate the loss of 14 pounds in weight I need to concentrate harder on reducing my waistline.....this is my second weekend without booze and I feel great. .but have no way of knowing exactly how much I weigh in my room...I needed some scales. So off to the shops....but even there lurked temptation:eek:
  15. I'm a VERY patient man Mr Git.
  16. I recently was asked to give an estimate for some tree work/clearance at an old Cemetary in Durham with a view to further contracts.it's an exciting project...the price was accepted and an application put in for funding but it isn't straight forward....there are 20 other projects wanting it.....10 will be funded after a vote by the people of Durham City....the vote took place today and I was asked to cast a vote.....fingers crossed....
  17. Wow.....thanks John.....just doing what I love and sharing it
