  4. My life is changing so rapidly right now that I can hardly keep up....and I love it! I've been off the drink (until Xmas)....given up pies and spending more time with my grandson.i feel so energized its quite amazing.it's allowed me to reflect on the positives in my life even more. My first ever travelling arb adventure was back in 1997 when I took my bicycle and climbing kit on the Ferry to Holland. My son who was 8 years old gave me a small Buzz Lightyear toy to keep in my pocket......I still have it. Don't ever give up! "TO INFINITY...AND BEYOND!"
  5. You would like him Mr Huck...he's a straight up Man who doesn't suffer fools gladly....and just deals with what curve balls life throws at him...I shall always share his progress.
  6. Get some thermal socks Jon...ive got some long ski socks with my Airstreams for winter...almost too warm!

  8. I hope it does well...I would love to be involved in training.....if you ever need part time help? Or publicity pictures...I'm your man.
  9. Are you sure the tree cannot be climbed?? PM me your details.
  10. Where are you based in the North West?
  11. There were a couple of chaps collecting inside my local supermarket..got one for me with a pin and one without for my grandson.
  12. I love the smell of Aspen in the morning.....or rather the lack of it! Great product. Most people I work with seem to be using it.
  13. Whatever anyone is going through and things seem tough, spare a thought for my friend D. He has told me that he believes the recent events in his life were meant to be and he wouldn't change a thing. As I've said before, I dedicate my thread to him.
  14. When I went to see him I couldn't believe it....but in true style he was up beat, shrugged it off as something life had thrown at him and he would get on with his life. His physio told him he would be unable to jump. Derek jumped in front of him! The nurses even had to stop him from using his arms to manoevre himself via overhead holds into the hospital gardens! The man is unstoppable and my biggest influence.we will be climbing a tree again together.......
  15. Derek is a legend and like a brother to me.He was the last person I visited when I left London only to find that within a very short time he had his legs amputated due to an very dangerous illness......
  16. And worked alongside some great people. Here seen with a great talent at City Suburban. Mr Dale Thomas now at Kiwi Klimbers and inventor of the Spikesender...now trust me, that was a Xmas party to remember!!!
  17. Yep, for sure Derek is the bravest man I've ever met. We hit it off from the moment we met. Socially he was the life of the party with a BIG personality. We met at Continental Landscapes near Chiswick..
  18. Well....check him out now!
  19. Just to fill you in on the progress of my best mate in London who I first met up a tree.as you may remember he lost both of his legs last year........
  20. That's what I thought. Accurate felling cuts and watch the top for movement then......patience is a virtue....over it goes!
  21. After my third full week of work with the new company the wood is building up so we had a day processing last years wood. This has to be my favourite time of year to work.Sub 19 degrees suits me so much better than the Summer and it means the log orders a flying in! Time to clear out the old yard.....soon be moving to the new Special Branch Headquarters:thumbup:
  22. Beautiful morning....chilly start. Fresh! Just how I like it.
  23. Interesting techniques August...and i see you got an Orange Protos!
