  6. Easy enough trees...just a single wire to avoid and a fast flowing river so not straight forward.today woukd be a Husqvarna day!... except for a Stihl 362 with a short bar;) Andy Slade going up.....job and knock:thumbup:

What a great day...Hodge is a good mate and has a happy crew working in a stunning part if the world...just driven back and gone through over 100 pictures from today...I liket to choose the best shots.....location-sonewhere in the Lake Diatrict...Job-a few trees to remove from the bankside...beautiful drive to the job.

  10. Thanks for that Mick! I may well do but this could be my last journey, next time it will be social 8nstead of work....went to quote on tree work in two cemetaries which could lead to more work for the Special Branch...some interesting trees

  14. This is where you got your "blue book"...and at the end of the day you have The Rose Tree alehouse over the river. and here is where I take the dog for a walk.Very dramatic place to be with all the canopy swaying with the winds!

  18. Yesterday was a washout for some I hear, but not in Durham! It was blue sky and warm sunshine except it was blowing a gale...perfect weather for pricing a couple of jobs.On my way I pass my old college where it all began for me...great memories.This place saved me! ..."Houghal College"

  21. Indeed Mr Varty...from Log to finnished product...all high pressure treated.
  22. Used some strange tools like shove-holers and strange powder called post-crete but the oddest of all was a carpentry saw! Couldn't find the word "Silky" on it anywhere and it cuts on the push stroke??? I prefer a far more aggresive cutting action but hey...got the job done:D
  23. Bit of a quiet job fencing...I prefer a bit more engine noise and adrenaline but definately another string to the Special branch bow.
