  1. what masterh said... the dti / tinytach. good tach, good price, crap uk website, but helpfull folk none the less
  2. i would suggest... a transit, a daily, a cabstar, isuzu nkr, landy 130, mog, lorry, tractor or maybe a tricycle with a big wicker basket on the front.. one of those should do you nicely:001_smile:
  3. to anyone who has ever run a saw, they are truly offensive pieces of junk.... but, when the fake huskys first appeared on ebay many sold for £300+ a sorry state of affairs
  4. they are made very cheaply in china... you can get them in pretty much any colour... and probably with any logo you choose... they are about 50cc and a copy of a 20yr old zenoah(redmax) design. they turn up regularly on uk ebay etc, in orange and white with a stihl 440 logo, and mostly orange with a husky 395xp logo.
  5. its whatever you want it to be butch.... alls you need is a stencil and a pot of paint.
  6. i did something wrong in a past life, thus live in bodmin... its rare i venture into you and toms half of our fair county, but i have family near praze an beeble.
  7. its not really a 'fake' chainsaw... my trucks red... if i knocked up a rough stencil, i could spray ferrari on it... wouldnt make it a fake ferrari... just make it a rusty old truck with ferrari written on it! that is a very cheap chinese copy of an old zenoah designed chainsaw... with a cheap stenciled stihl logo on it... the only people likely to buy it, have no knowledge of saws, and have likely never run one before. the same type of people buying spear and jackson saws from argos... dont know what my point is... but i more than likely have one somewhere:001_tongue:
  8. stick it on fleabay... you'll get the best price there. good saw in its day... but its day was 20years ago... they are common, fairly cheap, and really shouldnt tempt a serious professional unless they hate their own hands. good luck with the sale tho
  9. quite so... Sycamore Beech Ash Leylandii Monterey Pine would probably be what the majority of the saw chips in my pockets consist of... they were mostly cornish trees, not one of them was latin to my knowledge:closedeyes:
  10. its a big conspiracy.... monkeyd gets £0.01 for every latin tree name put into google.... he's set to retire to a private island by the end of the year:001_smile:
  11. http://www.stihlusa.com/stihl_ownersmanuals/STIHL010_011_with_safety_manual.pdf ... i'll send you a stamped addressed envelope for the quails egg
  12. i did note they were still blue, so assumed nothing too sketchy had prompted the de-trousering:001_tongue:
  13. very nice bit of wood there mate, look forward to the pics of the finished table in the future... re: the last photo of the deere attempting to offload the log... was it really necessary to do with no trousers or undercrackers on?
  14. had a mk3 for a year or so, excellent truck... bulletproof... 7.5tonner at 35mph proof in fact... but i reckon i would have been crippled for life if i'd carried on driving one! the bleedin seats folded me in ways my 6'3" wiry frame did not enjoy one bit...
  15. try pethick's - 07854732598 father-son team based near saltash if i remember correctly, got a big ol' rayco self propelled jobby. ive used them in the past, after having them recommended to me, they travel the south west, do a good job, and are very reasonably priced
  16. Model Profile: 143 143... there you go mate... not that un-common... seen a few on fleabay over the last year or two. for rarity try finding a dolmar 144 or 152.... or the dolmar wankel engined saw:001_tongue:
  17. lol... 'welcome to cornish airways.... please nail your seats into the upright position'
  18. do it mate, i wouldnt mind running it if it was yours:001_tongue: wouldnt surprise me if that saw made £400+ he's obviously had lots of interest from europe and the states...
  19. its a saw i'd be scared to use... something breaks and it could be years before you track down a replacement part. and it will be alot of cash to have tied up in a glorified paperweight
  20. what a beaut i doubt it'll go cheap... very saught after in the u.s and europe, they regularly make $1000+ in the u.s and it would piddle all over an 088.... more 090 territory:001_cool:
  21. Facelift: Working at Height Rogues
  22. i believe that the mag is fitted with the factory dual port muffler, rather than the standard single port..
  23. the verdict is in.... stihl 361, released late 2003 for the 2004 spring season just the facts maaam:001_tongue:
  24. them's all good fun:thumbup:
  25. not a real surprise.... the 026/260 is 20yr old technology, fairly rugged and reliable. but quick and comfy it is not... is the 2150 the red and black version of the husky 350, 351 or 353? (proper mag crankcase if its a 351/353)
