A scouser walks into a job centre goes right up to the first booth available and says.. "I'm looking for a job" The bloke at the booth says " You're lucky. This job has just become available. It's working for a local multi-milllionaire. You'd be a driver / bodyguard for his twin 18 year old daughters. You have to drive a big black Mercedes all day. The hours are long, but all expenses are paid. The salary is £200,000 a year, and you will have to accompany them on all overseas shopping trips" The scouser says "You're bullshi**ing me " The bloke behind the counter says " Well you started it"!!

aye, you're right of course...I was just expecting to be blown away by it as the concept is great. It would cool if it was a bit more of a personal experience rather than it being high up on a white ceiling imo, maybe even just on the floor so the kids can scooch down and have a good look at it in detail. That was my main line of thinking...As it is on that broken up ceiling it looks like an unfinished jigsaw. Proof is in the pudding though eh, will have to go and see it -
send it over... we've been on the list for, well, longer than I have been with stuart anyway, which is 7 and a half yrs now....time flies eh?

you mean the LA tree team weren't on the approved contractors list for the council..? how does that work then..?

mixed emotions...The whole idea of it is fantastic imo, and to get the chance to be the takedown team in this project must have been awesome. If I'm brutally honest I don't think the final result is the spectacle I was expecting, which is a shame. -

I can't figure out the exact times...we first did them about 6 yrs ago iirc...they hadn't been done before and the tops were just too big and there was alot of dropped limbs etc...the decision was made to do a complete pollard. Then I think we have done them 3yrs ago and then again this week. Up until we started work in that area of the town the place looked a mess, the council have since started spending quite a bit of cash on the moorings, the general landscaping and of course the trees...if you walk down to the moorings and then to the right there is a row of about 6 willows that we also pollarded to about a standing 10ft trunk and apart from a bit of rasing up away from the moored boats they also get re-done evey 3 yrs or so.
