  6. Hi, no the oil wasn't there on the chasis, and i even showed him the chasis. It wasn't caked in crap and it wasn't squeeky clean, but there definatly wasn't any oil. The uj wasn't making any noise at the time of sale, but i have been caught out with these before coming home from work etc. He was getting quiet heavy on the phone. Now i'm quiet an easy going man, but anyone whos been up to my house or knows me, will have seen military photos here, there and everywhere, and lets just say you don't get a maroon beret for being a teddy bear! I'm not saying i'm going to kick his head in, its just that were expecting our first child as my wife is heavily pregnant so its an emotional time and i could do without this stress! Now i've offered to pay for the uj's, oil and oil filter out of the goodness of my heart. I'm hoping he isn't a chancer but i do seem to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, but to be honest i wish i'd never sold it! Oh well you live and learn!

  8. Hi guys, cheers for all your support. I was quite sorry to see this truck go, i am a private seller. It was my daily driver. God knows what he's done to it! He says he's calling his mechanic mate out tomorrow to see it and he'll get back to me and tell me what his mate thinks is wrong with it! I feel like i'm the baddy here!

  10. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hi all just sold my landy to a guy who has phoned me back saying that there is oil down one side of the chasis leg and one of the propshafts is making a noise i.e. uj no doubt! Now the thing is we went for a 10 mile test drive, looked all over it, in and out, gave him half a tank of fuel, several cups of tea, did all the paperwork and he jumped in it and drove it back home which was 300 miles away. Mainly motorway work. Now everything still works as it should apart from obviously the uj is squeeking, now on the reciept for this vehicle, it had on it sold as seen, now remember he took it for a 10 mile test drive and spent an hour looking over it. Now he's demanding his money back in full. Where do i stand??? I'm not best pleased that he;s hammered the sh*t out of my truck and then decided he wants his money back. I checked this truck over thoroughly with him just to make sure everything was tickety boo. To be honest i feel a bit guilty for him, i dont no why, but i do, but there's no way i feel obliged to give him his cash back. I'm willing to help out i.e. sort him out a couple of uj's maybe some oil and a filter. Whats your thoughts? Many thanks.

  12. Hi all i am looking at getting me an rb44 as it looks good and i have sold all my mogs (2 of which went back to Germany) as i am going down to a three day week :thumbup:how fast are they and are both the axles dana 60's? my plan is 37.13.50.16's tyres on beadlock rims a tipper and a winch,hi ab big intercooler and a pump tweek and a limo in the front axle.
  13. that lot on lr4x4 are all up each others arses got all the kit and no fu#king idea they all do sh#ty little events and think they are god.....
  14. h14 what a winch !!!!!!!!!!! if your mad enough the pto drop box off the back of the LT230 transfer box, there should be a red disk covering the clutch pack for the pto. Pop this off and seam weld the two discs together. This makes for a truely unstopable winch! Be warned you will either brake uj's or pull the front of the land rover off. and a little tip for you, the kawasaki quad bike uj's are the same size. power wise an average electric winch has 4 hp at the drum. if your running a standard 200 or 300 tdi with the mods above will give you 111bhp at the drum. hope this helps.
  15. Hi put arb's or detroit in the rear and trutrack diff locks in the front and put a 2"lift and 35"tyres on a 130 and it will go off road better than a standerd 90. thats my opinion and ive been competing in winch challenge events since 2003 and i've been second in the uk twice.
  16. 3120xp woods it will pull a seven foot bar............

  22. Hi MattyF,

Get it repaired, and if you want send it up to me, it will cost you £50 plus p&p. This will give you a woods port and a good carb tweek.
