  4. Hi all just got in from the work shop went out there to have a tidy up and looked at the 390 and thought hey lets have a look in side the exhaust:001_smile:there was a baffle with one hole in it. i started here and drilled another one to the right the same size then i had a look at the exhaust exit i made this half as big as the existing one then i welded a bit of pipe to make a port.fired the saw up and thought it sounded like a yz 125, tweeked the carb up and went to the log shed all i can say is it's LOUD and HOLY S**t it's fast through the timber tried it out on some oak which has been down 7 to 8 years :001_smile: i dont mean just a small bit of oak, its currently running a 28" bar with LPX chain. Sank it into a butt, it just never died, even had both hands on the back handle at one point. Truely transforms the saw!!! Not sure if i'm going to hear my radio headphones any more
  5. Well as far as warrenty is concerned, from what i can gather unless it is very small bits and pieces the warrenty is worth nothing. The minute you have had fuel in that saw, if there is a problem with that saw ie it siezes, mr husqvarna will send you a lovely little letter which he obviously sends to every tom, dick and harry, fuel mixture incorrect or over reved! This happened to me once on a 357xp. Took it back to the dealer, they stripped it and sent the piston to husqvarna and the result was wrong fuel mixture supposedly, so i phoned uk husqvarna, and said are you having a laugh, for the past 8yrs this has never happened to me, blah, blah, blah, asked if they'd tested the mixture content, the answer was a flat no. Which i respect them for telling me the truth, but didn't like the idea of having an off the cuff letter. So as far as i'm concerned with warrenties, if the saw works 6 months it should have easily paid for itself, lets face it a piston and a pot is £120 and anything else your just being picky. This is only my opinion, don't take it to heart boys
  6. WEll they were to me as i get a pallet of what i am after from the USA:001_cool:sorry boys and girls the uk is asking too much!!!!! OH i went to the show which was good and paid the £30 for me and my wife, really, really enjoyed the show, spoke to some friends i havn't seen in a while, had a good long chat with Phil Dunsfield about the old axe racing. The weather was georgeous and we took a lovely picinc with us. All in all an absolutly brillient day out, well worth the £15 per head!!!
  7. NO!!!:thumbdown:The saws were about 30 to 35% too much.....
