  2. It is better to sharpen by hand definatly. But i think if the chain is really shagged a machine can set up the chain to some normality.

  7. It's for quite a good friend who I work with/for sometimes. Il get him to bring a few beers round and teach him how to do it on the smaller chain and watch him on the longer chain. I say watch but I will be drinking mainly. Haha. I think it will be cheaper for me to send my knackered chains to Jonesie than to do it myself !
  8. I have been asked to sharpen a 404 chain with a bench grinder. The chain is off a 4ft bar and is a 404. There is a second chain off a 3ft bar and is a 404 as well. Haven't got a clue how much to charge as I only really do my own with the grinder if the chain is really knackered. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

  19. Wheels off. Flat fabricated steels with holes to fit the bolt holes in the hub. If you know what I mean.

  21. My mrs had her engine freeze last night. Spent the day thawing it out with a heater. Dropping the old stuff and replacing it with new af. Touch wood, no damage.
