  3. This stuff might be worth a trial. I used it for some internal book shelves, made of untreated, sanded scaffold planks. I didn't want them to go yellow and then brown as softwood normally does so I did some research online into suitable finishes and this came up, with recommendations. I'm quite happy with it so far.
  4. Ditto. I think we should resist unnecessary AI stuff such as this for as long as possible. We are apparently as a species already starting to lose our sense of direction and navigational skills due to satnav, GPS, google maps etc. AI does obviously have some very important applications, (in medicine for instance where it can perform functions that humans cannot), but using it for things that we can do ourselves, like writing a job advert or an eBay listing, is just foolish and short-sighted. IMO.
  5. My favourite, the one that always sticks in my mind from that film.
  6. Very similar to here. Winter over night, summer during the day.
  7. He was great in Heat and Tombstone. Two cracking films.

  9. You're very welcome. I'd suggest you approach Swiss Tony first as Mr Trump is rather too busy at the moment I believe.
  10. My condolences. Will it be a burial or a cremation?
  11. Interesting, I've not heard of using Rowan before. I love stuff like this. It's good knowledge that's rapidly getting forgotten. I've got this book that has a section about all the principal native timbers, and their traditional uses. Everything had a specific application, and every application had a specific timber. Doesn't mention Rowan though. I'll try it next time I need a new handle, if I can remember.
  12. BS. Have some dignity mate; at least try to put up a reasoned, coherent argument in support of your rather odd opinions. Don't just resort to the rancorous, tired old tropes and petty insults. You appear to have even less self-awareness than Liz Truss. This is a far wider discussion than your normal L vs. R, or Christianity vs. Islam ranting. If you'd have read the original article, that you pounced on like a rabid dog again, you'd have seen that it was nothing to do with terror attacks, (of any motivation). It was about a new TV series highlighting the dangers of online misogyny. Go back, and read the words this time. As the parent of a young child I do have concerns over his future health, happiness and safety. I see no shame in saying that. There is a sickness in the world, (quite a few actually); the future is nowhere near as rosy as it was when I was his age. Islam or any of the other religions barely figure as a concern for me. They are all as shitty as each other if you open your eyes, I don't discriminate. Maybe you'd have some compassion if you had any children yourself.
  13. Ummm. I need to check the guard is back on mine. I know I've taken it off a few times in the past for various things. I guess one handing them is a big no no as well, strictly speaking?
  14. Wordle 1,381 5/6 ⬜⬜⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟨🟩⬜⬜ ⬜⬜🟩🟩⬜ ⬜🟩🟩🟩🟩 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 **************** that!
  15. You've missed the bigger picture again Davey . Take those blinkers off Dobin! Islamic extremism is but one of the evils cultivated and propagated by toxic online tripe. I don't descriminate between that and suicide encouragement stuff, misogyny, paedo stuff, far right crap, antisemitism, eating disorders, extreme animal cruelty, childhood bullying, Conspiracy Theories - the list is long and varied. You're right about the Southport case though 👍, I very much doubt that would've happened without his easy access to all that content swilling around online, 30 years ago for instance. (Though Islamic extremism was just a small part of the ****************ed up shit that he subscribed to.) Same with that guy in Sweden a couple months back, (how did you miss reporting on him on here btw? He had a thing about Syrians I think.) Or that guy in Luton recently, that could have been so much worse. He was just radicalised into thinking he wanted to be famous for killing lots of innocent little school children, nothing to do with religion. You need to broaden your outlook. Or modify you agenda. Sure Starmer can't sort it, but he could at least do something to improve the situation. Banning smart phones in schools would be an easy starter, very low hanging fruit. Minimum age for social media maybe? Sure, some kids will circumvent controls, but not the majority, it's got to be worth a try. Put some pressure on the tech bros to remove some of the worst content maybe? I mean, why does anyone need to see beheadings? Australia is being positively proactive in tackling this issue. As I think are France and Denmark. They're civilised countries like that. As an aside. Islam has been in existence for millennia, but a lot of the kind of sick actions carried out in it's name haven't occured until recently. Probably a similar timescale to the advent of the internet/social media/mobile devices. Is that correlation or causation do you think? I'll give you a clue, it begins with a C!
  16. Young white British people do however get radicalised by toxic online tripe. Adolescence a hard watch as a dad, Starmer tells makers at No 10 WWW.BBC.CO.UK Sir Keir Starmer tells them there is not a "policy lever that can be pulled" to combat online misogyny. Will he have the balls to do anything about it though I wonder? I've not seen the program but it's certainly getting a lot of attention. Rightly so for this issue IMO. Anyone watched it?
  17. Well, stick an L and a Y on the end of that and you've got your first word right there! It doesn't take long really, 5 10 minutes ish generally.
  18. We didn't have too much in the way of fine weather in March until now, unlike you. It's looking grand for the next couple of weeks though. Warm days but cold nights. Don't want any cheeky frosts to compromise the huge potential of fruit tree blossom.
  19. That's an understatement of an overestimate I reckon.
  20. A miniature fighter jet. A Greater Bee Fly I'm informed by Seek.
  21. Wordle 1,380 3/6 🟨🟩⬜⬜🟨 ⬜🟩🟨⬜🟨 🟩🟩🟩🟩🟩 Bloody hell, that was hard. I couldn't think of any words with those initial letters, let alone right or wrong ones. And then I remembered the Queen, my saviour.

    Jokes???

Little Johnny went to the confessional. “Bless me Father, for I have sinned. I have been with a very keen girl,” he said. The priest asked: “Is that you, Little Johnny?” “Yes, Father, it is.” “And who was the girl you were with?” “I can’t tell you, Father. I don’t want to ruin her reputation.” “Well, Johnny, I’m sure to find out her name sooner or later so you may as well tell me now. Was it Tina Minetti?” “I cannot say.” “Was it Teresa Mazzarelli?” “I’ll never tell.” “Was it Nina Capelli?” “I’m sorry, but I cannot name her.” “Was it Cathy Piriano?” “My lips are sealed.” “Was it Rosa DiAngelo, then?” “Please, Father! I cannot tell you.” The priest sighed in frustration and said: “You’re very tight-lipped, and I admire that. But you’ve sinned and have to atone. You cannot be an altar boy now for four months. Now you go and behave yourself.” Little Johnny walked back to his pew, and his friend slid over and whispered: “What’d you get?” He smirked and answered: “Four months vacation and five good leads.”
