  1. Good point. Well made. The ground was about 8ft away from my feet but the piece I was stood on was about 2ft across and had a nice flat top. Anyway, extreme lunges are the future.
  2. Looks more like some modern dance moves. haha:thumbup: This picture shows an attempt at the more technical "Bruce Forsyth" lunge. Not for begginers.
  3. No. Thats a pose for a certain type of magazine. Not a lunge. Haha.
  4. Saw a van marked "Tree-menders". Thought it was a clever play on words.
  5. Tony, that last picture is immense. Can I get a copy of it please. ?
  6. Without me having to search, what is the price difference on the two nowadays???
  7. Ive been thinking this. My sequioa has taken a beating in the last two years and is nowehre near as comfy as it used to be. Looked at everything else available but keep getting drawn towards the treemotion. I also clip my landyard onto lower gold rings all the time if needing to "hang" from my strop.
  8. I would subby the work out and be on constant tea breaks.
  9. I would love to know exactly how many logs I had produced over the years. It would be awesome to see a tally chart.
  10. How about dig around foundations, crane the houses out the way. Remove the phone lines and build a new estate somewhere else. Leave the tree alone. £4.5million +Vat.
  11. I was going to suggest stuntfelling it into the garden and leaving it like that for "habitat", £350 cash. But hey ho. Hahaha

    old harnesses

There must be a way of making a nifty swing out of some old climbing line and a willans harness. Surely.
  13. Robert we just posted the same thing......... Haha.
  14. Sounds like a really good oppurtunity for someone young and keen or a bit okder and wiser who is short on work. Have you looked down the apprentice route yet Rupe??
  15. Great minds think alike. As if we posted very similar things at the exact same moment in time??
  16. Do you know if you may have just created history?? Has anyone else in the world ever cut up a whale on a beach with a chainsaw?? Seriously?? Them pictures need to be printed off and kept in an album to show your grandkids. Not lost on some memory stick somewhere.
  17. Possible suicide. Whales and dolphines have the ability to choose wether to take another breath or not. If they dont take a breath they die. Maybe......
  18. Not wanting to change the subject too much but, whilst talking about whales and such, have any of you seen the documentary called "the cove". If you havent then i really recommend it. Serious stuff.
  19. Ditto. Some sound advice there Reg and exactly what I was thinking. Nice video though James.
  20. By the sounds of the original post, to me i wouldnt suggest they owned a mewp. So hire costs would make it unreasonable price wise. Get you pruning saw and get cutting. Put the pics up on here so we can see the results.
  21. Fantastic story. Love hearing stuff like that. I know a chap who still does exactly the same only he uses a Ford Super major. Haha.
  22. Is that the longest dead eye sling in history?? Haha. Nightmare to tie.
  23. From what I gather fron DMM, the difference in colour represents different models. Ones with bushes, ones with bearings, ones rigging etc etc. Might be wrong though.
