  1. Ermmmm....................???? Doesn't less cost equal more profit??????
  2. I beg to differ. My scaffold tower on wheels could have been pushed down the side of that hedge and the guy pushing could have swept and blown in between. 1 less member of staff, no diesel used, jobs a good-un.
  3. I just series linked the full shebang on the old Sky+. Love it. Plus Axmen has started up again, Not a patch on Heli-Loggers but beats Eastenders anyday. Our new little-un sits on daddys knee watching the tree climbers and whirly gigs. He loves it aswell.
  4. what did you do after lunch then?????
  5. Anyone a subscriber??? This months issue is really interesting, all about "the giants" with some awesome pictures including a one of a kind portrait of a Seqouia climb. Well worth the 15 squid subscription fee (plus you get a free fleece).:thumbup1:
  6. Spare patches come with the trousers, or failing that as TimTree says, cut up the old un's and use some copydex to weld em back together. Jobs a good un.
  7. WHAT?????
  8. Straight to the point, BRILL. really really impressed.
  9. I wouldnt advise anyone to "go it alone" until they are 100% sure that there isnt a tree in the world that they couldnt handle, or have enough contacts to make big jobs easier, i.e tractor/trailers etc. The one thing about this job is that every tree is different, a different scenario, a different situation, the only thing that can help you sometimes is by calling on EXPERIENCE. Laying bricks is the same from job to job, just in a different place or a different shape. Like you say, just winging it could be disastrous, as could doing an 11 week course and then setting up on your own.
  10. Thats what I was gonna suggest.
  11. dont you hate it when this happens.
  12. oooops, just noticed Selby. Probs too far from us.
  13. Hey Ben, whereabouts you from??? Bishop Burton is just up the road from me, if you want any work experience give us a shout.
  14. whats wrong with my handy scaffold tower???
  15. Heres more.
  16. Looks ok Steve, but heres a proper beech reduction from last week.
  17. top quality aswell.
  18. I have been meaning to post a thread up asking bout videos of the ITCC's, problem solved. Many, many thanks.
  19. never said it was owt wrong, its how I live my life. Gob and drop.
  20. Bet it was priced as a dismantle, lowering everything, blah blah blah, soon as customer went out, crash bang wallop jobs a good-un.
  21. Dunno, you tell us??
  22. Did you use that laser measuring thingy you showed us Dean???
  23. i have heard stories about someone getting done by trading standards for false advertising when it comes to logs. We find it best to sell 1 cubic metre bags @ a certain amount, containing either hardwood "slow burning" logs or softwood "heat" logs, these are naturally seasoned, but what does that mean??? 6 months?? 3 years??? why need to specify??? A truck load would be 4 cubic metre bags at a slightly discounted rate from buying 4 bags seperatley.
  24. Im confused, 20% on £800 is £160?????
  25. Good day out, went a few weeks ago with the whole family and extended family too. 7 car loads. £23.00 per adult??????????????? Get family tickets for discounts but not massive ones.
