  1. Branch Walking is really the wrong name for it , i was shown ways that rarley included walking out on the branch, yes bigger stuff is ok but when your getting towards the tips then 2nd ancor and wiggle, slide, sit, shuffle. if you get to a point and the arse is gripping to much turn and face your ancor point and move out backwards then if you do slip you will see what is coming!!!
  2. you won`t hear another thing from him. I will be surprised if you get an appologie out of a rat like that. Be nice if he did, don`t hold your breath!
  3. £30 , i wouldn`t buy at that price, either i would put it towards a leatherman or buy a petzl and go to the pub
  4. got some very long poles and saw head we could stealth cut!!:viking:
  5. Have you got permission from the land owner? If not i can bring my tin hat:sneaky2: o.k John thanks for the reply look forward to hearing from you I will send you my mobile number if it`s on

  7. i bet that dog saw his owner fire one into that deer and thought he could to!
  8. so he knew you were doing the work there!!! he must have known what you were going to do!! why didn`t he stop you then?
  9. if i as Tennant instruct a contractor to knock half this house down then I would be liable Not the contractor, so why is the chancer trying to get you to pay? Could be that the tennant has a contract that states they are liable for the upkeep of the garden and they paid to have this work done now Landlord has seen it he don`t like it. :001_smile:HE HE HEHE HE, what a shame ignore it mate or even better get your father to send him a letter claiming storage for his timber at your yard!!!!
  10. did you not turn up with a big trailer? could have made £50/£60 per tree on them!!!
  11. if that terrier gets into full stride it will take the blokes eye out with those antlers!!!!
  12. best grab i have used for brash/branches or even timber is a Hawke Fawke top kit and you will struggle to bend it let alone break it, a grab is a must if your clearing alot of brash or lots of timber any distance because you can hold timber on and it won`t fall off. Strimech make good equipment but at a price, don`t bother with a MF grab or Bucket they are pants.
  13. why are you all not at work? because it is dark and not windy!!
  14. sounds to me like the old machinery was the best at the time but time moves on , If you compare these to todays equipment they wouldn`t stand a chance. Also the driver could get out at the end of the day with sanity and hearing!
  15. I was impressed as well , the stump was about 5inchs across!!! had to shave it down a bit to fit the holder but it`s good. who ever shaped it did a good job it`s spot on , about 5ft 6 in height so good stuff
  16. here is ours the wife picked out not bad i thought £24
  17. CAB!!!!! just a roll bar for us, most of the time folded down so we could get under the trees. Had a 35 as well great little tractors, the first tractors i drove, first on dads lap then when i could reach the peddles i was on my own!
  18. bit like driving a MF135 with a loader on !!! with these you had the added bonus of near tipping over when you had a wheelbarrow of soil in the bucket
  19. there is alot on here like that i think dean, research and development cost companies thousands why if old tat is the best?
  20. Anyway back on Subject!!!!!! I really can`t see the point in trying to use old clapped out WW2 machinery when there is gear out there for same sort of money and far better and comfortable to use. Driving one of these all day would put you in a nut house i think!!! You can`t beat a nice cab and a heater or air con. This sort of machine should be in a museum or the nettles IMO
  21. ohh sorry what an ass i am
