    Any Ideas?

Thanks, It it does look like a type of Pleurotus, it was the colour and apparant lack of gills on the underside that confused me:confused1:, had a closer look today and there are lots, looks to dark to be 'Pleurotus ostreatus' the ones ive been shown where a lot more white/grey than these. The one at the base was a little past its best. Great link thanks will go and check the ID on some of my older pics

    Any Ideas?

Quite new to fungi id and am trying to expand my knowledge. Struggling on this one, is it Meripilus? First pic from the base of the Beech. These are about 20' up the trunk on the N/W side Photos were taken today Jan 18th Any help from you fungi experts is much appreciated.
  3. Cool, love to have a go at that. I just use the sissor type trap, that looks much more fun.
  4. What scum, Hope you sort things out. Bring back Corporal punishment.
  5. No its never been a truck cab to my knowleadge, ive had it for 12 years and rebuilt it last. Unfortunatly the doors are original and in a bad way, didnt do any thing to them when i did the rebuild, so there coming off in the summer, got some series doors to go on while i refurb them. The wheels are steel modulars.
  6. C reg 90, 200tdi disco engine. First test drive after re-build. use it for getting fire wood and big lumps for my carvings.
  7. I had a 2.5 N/A, 90, could have run faster up hills. If your like mecanics or want to learn there great. If you've got the time and resouses then build your own, by a chep 90 or defender with good body work, new galvanised chasi and a 200tdi disco with a good engine and rotten body work (can pick them up very cheap), swap engine, axels then sell the left overs.
  8. My two latest carvings. Both carved out of Sycamore. The face has been treated with Danish oil. Got a bit carried away with the blow torch on the owl.
  9. Nice carving. Looks like a Heron to me, nice plumage. Be thinking of inoculating some of my mushroom carvings with mushroom mycelium. Any one tried it?
  10. Quality carving. looks awesome.

  13. Great carvings. like the ball in the square.
  14. Been wondering the same thing. ive heard of people using decking oil, danish oil, linseed oil and a whole heap of other oils. Carved some scycamore the other week, was going to try danish oil on that n see what happens.
