  1. Hi all, i am never one to b£$ch or slag off etc, but if anyone is thinking about the online course with Myerscough please think long and hard. I have paid up on mine, received all the notes etc and then sat the law paper which had questions in it that were not even in our notes!!! I had to resit and again more questions outside of the notes, these were high hedges, hedgerow law, badgers act, etc. This is all basic notes for law but as they were not even mentioned in my notes i presumed we were not going to be tested, how wrong!! Myerscough replied to me saying "I have spoken to the Learning Manger for Arboriculture who has confirmed that the tutor did leave towards the end of the course, however, the materials were delivered and on-line support was available. Regarding your comments on the content of the exam compared to the curriculum delivered, the subject was not actually on the curriculum and hence was not covered, therefore this was outside of our control"!! They had to be on the curriculum as they were in the exam question!!!! As i said i am not here to slag them off but just look at many of the other options. 2 out of 20 people passing cant be wrong!!!!! We have had no guidance for the management day either!!!! Rant over.......peace!!!!!!

It would be interesting to see how many people will be keeping with the Yellow pages this year, obviously some people will be cutting back on spending and some may have the "you got to be in it to win it" attitude. I have never used the yellow pages and am toying with the idea, truthfully i never use it, but do we need it? So whos keeping with the book/yell.com this year?

    Stihl 026

Many people are split on here about the 026 and the MS260, there is a bit of a discussion in the log chopping saw thread about them at the moment. I have an old 026 and its been great, never gone wrong (touch wood) and always works. As for the price at the moment i have no idea as mine is 7 years old and i paid £200 for it second hand then! I also have all the manuals for it as a pgf file should you need them!! good luck
  11. I am going to have to try and make some, you got any pics of yours?
  12. Just for a heads up, has anyone here sat the B+E recently and could spend a couple of mins writing down some of the points on the test. I have been towing since i was 17 and am now 29 and never really had the licence to tow larger trailers and i refuse to pay someone to teach me to suck eggs, what do i have to pretend to do to keep the fatman in the assessment seat happy on my test? There is bound to be some silly order to uncouple etc etc. Any help would be good!
  13. Mine isnt even an MS260 its the 026 and it just keeps going and going and going etc etc. I do maintain my kit to the point of shining the saws but thats me!!!! Im not sure if it helps with the working life of the 026!
  14. My partner is a paramedic and she see's many accidents with kids and often the parents just over looked something and never thought it would happen to them etc. I can only imagine how it must of felt, but hope she gets better quickly. David.

  22. I think a spot of lamping with high powered rifles would do the trick, shame my lab doesnt retrieve scumbags. That picture is so dis-heartening to how people perceive how the countryside and woodland areas should be treated. Hats off to you chap.
  23. We are after type C's for complete safety but if it has to be A's then they will be enough as he has no aspirations to climb!
  24. Maybe some of our shop owner/members can help. One of my friends needs a pair of saw trouser, now i am not sure of his genetic make up but his calf muscles are huge (good for dragging brash!). I have tried the Oregon super comfort in a large for him as his waste is 36-38 but they are so tight on his calves that he cant get a pair of boots on! Anyone got any clues on trousers for mutants!!!! Have about £130 to spend. Any help would be good as i have to keep sending trousers back and the postage is killing me!
