    School work

I don't know if its alright to post this but here goes. If I've broken forum rules I apologise! If you are able to prove to ******.com that you are a competant and fully insured tradesman (this company cover chippies, sparky, builders etc) as well as holding all relevant certs etc, You pay an annual amount and they put you on their records. All you have to do is state how far you are willing to travel, eg up to 100 miles for example. Then any customers that visit the website can type in tree services, I live in Herts, and find a list of workers that are all insured and covered, that are within their area. It designed to ensure that everyone is above board. I'd advise that over the leaflet, In my humble opinion. Hope I'm alright to put this. I didn't want to write the company name in case it breaks rules. If the Mods ok it, I'll stick up a link if thats alright. If not Mods, Pm me and I can tell you the address. Phew, Cheers Tom:001_smile:

  7. I imagine that he would want to see a rough outline as to why you want to do it. If you give him a proposal that says along the lines of "I want to do the 38 and 39 because I feel that I can be a more useful member of the team (and in turn, make you more money)". I think he'd also want some kind of guarantee that you're not going to just get the tickets paid for, then run off and set up on your own. It'll show that you're keen and have a bit of ambition. If I were a boss, I'd be more inclined to fund someone that is keen and I'd ensure that they stuck around. Just my thoughts, Hope they're of help. Tom:001_smile:

    Tips

We used to cut a conifer hedge for a little old lady each Xmas that was about 6ft long and 6ft high. And prune a tiny apple tree for her. It was a 15min job at end of day. She had hardly any money but would always come out with a bottle of wine each, a packet of mince pies, a christmas card and a jar of marmalade for each of us. It always means more if someone with very little gives you a tip.
