  1. Thanks for you valued input.
  2. Just looked them up, is that the tractor mounted unit? Would take all day to get there and I dont think that will take the trunks, probably ok for the stumps etc. (the stumps are from much smaller trees, not from the big poplars)
  3. Some big but fairly useless poplar trunks that have been sat in a yard for 5 years and a huge pile of roots and stumps dug up by a 360 on a building site we are on.
  4. Has anyone got any recomendations for companies that offer TUB grinder hire? The self loading type would be needed, in East Gloucestershire area for only a short day I would think.
  5. The first pic is missing an arb in a vest lopping the top out of the poplar (I think) to the right of the house, that would give it some "centre".

    Itcc Results

Great news! Should have had a wager on a southern hemisphere win!! Jon in third is great too, and Johan fourth, brilliant! But what of Mark C?? Quite a turnaround with the comps this year, new names coming in the top places, its all good. A full list of results would be good if someone can post them.
  7. Years ago we properly destroyed a rusty old metal five bar gate. The farmer went mental and wanted it replaced so we said we would, and returned a week later and replaced it with an equally rusty old five bar gate. He went even more mental cos he wanted a new one but we walked away!
  8. I think the fact that he was suggesting you were tresspassing makes him an idiot that doesn't deserve any help with his wall at all!! He had less rights to access his garden than his tennant does, she has to give him permission to enter the property (including the garden) before he can do so, and therefore is hasd more rights to allow you access than he does. On this fact alone I would tell him you have decided not to help him out with a new wall and leave it at that. YOu shouldnt' have given any insurance details out, you should have told him (after he accused you of tresspassing) that you are not insured!!
  9. My method does work, but its not achievign anything new, or anything that cant be achieved in other ways. A six wrap prussik left on the lowering line can be used to attach a sling to, to make a balance. My method is similar but you attach it as and when needed.

Ah, CE4PPE ! You didn't say that bit. Would make a good number plate for you that would!
  11. There is no real purpose, I was experimenting to see if it had any valid applications. Didn't get very far with it but was worth a try, Dont try and read more into it than there is, its not an educational video.

    Top gun

It is gay, especially when full metal jacket is on at the same time! I have top gun on blu ray and it is good fun on the big screen, and not long to go before point break is out on blu ray!!!!!!!!!!
  15. I remove any big surface stones, and if its in a rockery I would remove more stones, as many as possible but I wouldn't dig soil just to get small stones out.
  16. What have i done now? I did some stuff with a ring on the big beech dismantle but it was just experimental really, is that what you mean? This one...? [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XnWt8dt-dUY]‪rigging method 2.wmv‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  17. Way ahead of you...... yes mine is page 13, except mine was rebuilt using XT kit so its actually higher specced now.
  18. Ha ha, no mine is fully restored so £10 wouldn't get you very far, but old ones that are hanging start at around that price. I wouldn't particularly choose this model either but it came up. If I ever found another frame that I liked more then I now have all the bits for it. The frame on mine is a bit more unusual and probably worth about £50 on its own.
  19. There are not many that are restored for sale, like I say most are rebuilt for the love of it and kept. I know some guys with 6-8 bikes in the garage. This one was restored but the owner had to sell (I'm thinking, kids, wife, space, etc.) so I got a bargain. If I get another I'll build it myself.
  20. Do you have a hankering to buy one or a hankering to sell one? Prices vary depending on model and spec, but an old early 90's saracen thats seen better days would only go for £20, or so, and the restorations are done more for love than money, certainly the one I bought cost me way less than the sum of the parts that went into it.
  21. I know, brings back good memories! Biopace was of course completely pointless!
  22. Good guess. Saracen Kili racer '92. Not bad for a nearly 20 old bike. Good old e bay. Its been fully restored with a lot of new bits on it. I feel liek I cheated buyign someone elses project so I might have to keep an eye out for another to work on. Anyone got an old saracen in their mums garage they want to shift?
  23. No not at all, I dont think! Its old is what it is!
  24. I like that specialised all mountain one! No one want to guess what my new one is then?
