  3. years ago i drove a forklift clean through the roller doors on the side of a warehouse. there was a forklift shaped hole and everything. my boss was great about it, he just made me stand guard all night to stop the thieves getting in until it could get repaired. the bill?............£3500:blushing: it was that job that made me want to work outside and hence work in arb
  4. i use a long lanyard, about 9m so that i can have loads of movement and still have two good anchor points. it works really well and i hate having that loop in my line when i use both ends of my rope. sometimes when im right out on a limb or in an awkward position i'll use a work position strop to keep me there but with mainline and long lanyard i find i often dont need it.
  5. hello all. i am just finishing my ND college course at sparsholt and have all of my tickets up to 39. i can operate mewps and have been a climber for a few firms in the area on a subby basis but need a more permanent position. i am an enthusiastic arborist that just needs the right job where i can show it. i am a hard worker, this being proved by the fact that i have a tripple distinction in the ND with full marks and still managed to work and go to competitions at the weekends. any ideas or offers please post here or PM me thanks:001_smile:

i'm a national diploma student at sparsholt college about to finish this summer. i would strongly recommend doing an ND as it gives you alot of scope for what to do in the future when your back is buggered or you grow old of climbing. sparsholt college has been brilliant, they have awesome work sites, arrange wicked trips like climbing englands tallest tree, and guide you through both practical and academic elements realy well. i started the course when i was 24 and dont regret losing the time at work as my earning potential has been increased. i think what ever you do, if you show how keen you are and that you are willing to do the rubbish jobs as well as the great ones then you'll go far
  7. quick hide, wooly has caught us cheating and asking questions on arbtalk. all the best assignments have there answers right here.
  8. im sooo excited about the tall trees trip. once in a lifetime opportunity
  9. if you google it then it'll tell you what you need for your assignment
  10. "A girl is to become Britain's youngest mother after becoming pregnant at 11. The girl smokes 20 cigarettes a day despite being eight months' pregnant. She conceived aged 11 when she lost her virginity to a boy of 15 on a drunken night out with friends." daily mail in 2007 hmmm should we educate them? is 9 too young?
  11. a girl called kizzy gave birth to a boy aged 13 i live in southampton and see teenagers pushing prams everyday the worst ones are the ones with a bottle of vodka in there hands while smoking and pushing the pram, they look about 12 but could be 16, still horrible. whos fault is it? its either the parents or the schools right? do you think being told about sex makes kids go out and do it or is it just possible that when not armed with this knowledge they are naive to it and walk in to it. knowledge is power. as soon as they are old enough to get the science behind it then you should tell them all about it as well as the emotional side as well. i was told at an early age and i think i was alot more wise to it all because of that
  12. we'll she's a doctor so i'm getting in there, a ring is a better investment! and i hate cooking. i wasnt asking for marital advice and i can hardly take the ring off of her. besides i wouldnt want to. we've waited 7 years and she is HOT:laola:.
  13. im skinter than a very skint thing, just fell in to the marriage trap and had to fork out for an engagement ring (she threatened to stop cooking what else could i do?) but i need an ms200t as i cant keep borrowing them off of people. weekend work is picking up and im getting private jobs to fit around college. any ideas or offerings of cheapish saws would be cool thank you peeps:001_smile:
  14. see i told you. i carried 8 pissed competition climbers in to winchester after the english open, braking many laws and possibly my suspension, that car was awesome and my new one is the same but not broken yet. ashtrays rule.
