  1. Certainly are. I am always ready to help someone try and get a foot on the ladder.
  2. me Chipper will not be a problem as he uses the same Heizo as me although I dont know what size screen he uses.
  3. Disgusting they will not take horse back. They obviously new it had a sweet itch problem. Get your Vet to check the horse passport to see if any medication was issued for sweet itch if so might be small claims court issue. Cannot really see how you can work in the woods as midges go there during the day to get out of the bright sunlight.
  4. Had an Arab horse which suffered badly with sweet itch and a full boett rug including head cover was the only thing which kept the horse sane. Personally I would get rid of the horse as I think it is cruel watching them suffer.
  5. Just bought a power hacksaw after seeing some great kindling conversions on youtube. I will tell you at the end of the week how many fingers I have left.
  6. Plenty on the bay usually approx 15-20 each. Personally I would go for the steel bases rather than the wooden pallet bases. IBC CAGE,LOG STORE,RUBBLE,STONE,BRICKS,CONSTRUCTION,HAYRACK,BUILDING,FARMING,PIG | eBay
  7. Logan I use IBC containers instead of messing about with bundles just stand the billets upright in the IBC container then using my forklift with rotator I can bring IBC to sawbench rotate through 90 degree and raise to height as a logging rack. IBC stacked upto 4 high with one of woodworks designer IBC pointed roof covers.
  8. Your a brave man. I never give my figures out as you never know who may use it against you. If anyones interested this research was done just down the road from me although I was a bit dubious of carrying out this type of research when the moors surrounding the test areas frequently burn during dry summers. http://www.usewoodfuel.co.uk/media/409865/attachment159__1_.pdf
  9. Depends how dry they want the chip if its less than 20% MC and I have run out of sub 20% MC chip I have been known to use my billet stock which is stored in IBC's rather than log it up. Its an easy process using the rotator on the forklift straight into the chipper.
  10. Problem with landowners is getting certification to show woodland is sustainable and will qualify as RHI fuel. At least with your own woodland you can control the paperwork. As for MC looking at a drop from 55% to 30% which some boilers can use but for long term storage we use the solar kilns to dry below 20% then store in IBC containers.
  11. Normally ring when sap has fallen then harvest summer 2 years after ringing when its dry.
  12. Strictly speaking its ring barking but has the same effect as sour felling
  13. I would certainly go for G30 spec due to the research I did on boiler specs but not sure on contract chipped as I prefer to control when I chip to fit in with the sour fell.
  14. Why do you need a conveyor if you use IBC containers stood at the side of the sawbench the wood goes straight in.
  15. If you value your fingers I would suggest a browns sliding top bench.
  16. I have kept to the quality market G30 spec with low MC and the chip never hits the deck so no problem with foreign bodies. With brash I find we need to grade out the fines. Best supply contracts are normally with local councils for schools etc but you never know about them unless you approach the council direct. Provide a quality product and they will snap your hand off as the big boys struggle with a consistent product.
  17. Its just a taller container to standard which allows 2 IBC containers to be stacked on top of each other and still leave a large gap for the air to circulate.
  18. approx 15k depending on how cheap you can get a "new" high cube to satisfy ofgem
  19. Joy Solar Thermal Tubes Similar to the ones below 30 Tube 58mm Solar Panel with Black Manifold http://www.solardry.com.au/solardry/solar-timber-kiln-10m.htm
  20. Dont know on 40ft but 20ft high cube needs min of 10 x 30 tube although 15 x 30 tube would be better.
  21. Container with ST tubes. Still use the original solar kilns for storage of dry timber and to finish off timber if its been a cloudy week.
  22. And there was me thinking you had wonderful staff up at the crack of dawn. Seriously I think its just a ploy to brag about your shed full of logs and put the rest of us to shame who are still splitting for this winter.
  23. Not wanting to bang the drum for solar but the RHI is actually significantly better for solar than biomass. Commercial RHI Tariff Table 2014 - Green Business Watch UK
  24. I would have thought it was well rotted by now standing on that trailer for 10 years
  25. Just get one of these trailers then you will be able to bring back 10 bundles at a time
