  1. Hi Silky What length rope guide have you got.? I had a 1.25m delivered yesterday, but looks a bit short if choking round a stem so bagged it up again. Cheers... Al
  2. I thought you had one of the first ones.... The 'carb and piston' change is quite recent I think.
  3. Hi Jonny How are you doing? Will be interested to hear what the stihl peeps says. Cheers...Al
  4. Picked up a 201T on my way home as my backup 200T is getting a bit to tempermental, and I like to have two that wok on site. Not started it up yet so can't comment on how it compares to the 200t, but the latest 201T have a different carb and piston to the first ones, to give them a higher compression ratio, and so more grunt. Was also told that they don't come fully alive until around 20 fill-ups. If operators of the early 201t's are still unhappy after 20 fill-ups apparently they can have the later carb and piston fitted.....could be heresay though...
  5. I've been using 7.5t lorries for 28 years and could count on one hand the number of times I couldn't get into a driveway! A 7.5t lorry is just under 7ft wide and a transit about 6ft (I think) so not that much different.
  6. Could try Coppard Plant Hire in Brighton, Crowborough or Brighton. They have some good kit:thumbup:
  7. I take your point Paul, but hard to justify hire costs and delivery costs to and from site for a lot of our work. OP reckoned rigging was overkill, so wonder what he thinks about a crane..... Al
  8. Just amazing!!! Your turn next Plippy!!:D
  9. Anyone used one of these kits to rebuild a 260? Are they any good, or chinese trouble.... Stihl Cylinder Assemblies - Stihl 026, MS260 Engine Rebuild Kit
  10. Nope, sorry. 'Keep pressing and guessing' as Roy Walker would say:)
  11. Nope. Keep guessing. 1st time I've seen one in my 28 year career. It comes from NZ.
  12. Doesn't matter which way round I have the photo orientated, it goes in the wrong way round from my Galaxy S3.
  13. Good on you Plippy, just donated £20 for a good cause. Good luck on the 7th mate. Al
  14. Here's one for you Rob. First time I've seen one of these:
  15. Paddy's racing snail is not winning races any more so he decided to take its shell off to reduce its weight and make it more aerodynamic. It didn't work, if anything it made him more sluggish!
  16. Don't put them through your chipper, they are too fibrousy and will wrap around the bearings, and overheat them in seconds - BTDT:blushing:

  18. +1 for Boulters Tippers. Used them for a bit of fabricating on my lorry. Fitted me in straight away and very reasonable cost as well

  20. Turns out there was a roll pin holding the linkage to the gearbox, and this had sheared, but still allowed a bit of movement to go forward but hardly any to go backwards. Pick the machine up again later, so hopefully can get the job done tomorrow now. Cheers for the replies chaps, Al.
